List your requests in order of importance and don't list too many requests. Tokelau is one of the longhouses that has balconies on the 2nd and 3rd floors. Check out this website, http://www.tikimanpages.com/tiki/index.php |

With three small kids is this a good longhouse? I must admit I was disappointed Samoa will be closed

Love Samoa! Tokelau is wonderful, but a bit far from the Great Ceremonial House and Volcano pool. You may want to consider Rarotonga, third floor, quiet pool side or Fiji, third floor, marina side. You will just be a little closer to the main parts of the resort.

We loved Tokelau, and all floors have balconies. I thought it was very close to GCH, we just cut thru Raratonga for a short cut. And we were on the beach end, so just went out that exit and walked along beach pathway and were at main pool under 5 min. It's also right next to quiet pool, and path to TTC for Epcot monorail.
I requested Beach end of longhouse, upper floor, got both. Great location. Also the rooms in Tokelau are a bit bigger then the older longhouses, and the halls are wider. So you are further away from neighbours across the hall.

Hoping I can jump in on this Poly room request thread too!
Also staying at the Poly (for only one night- so really want it to be great) very soon- no kids- just two adults. Would you suggest Tokelau, upper level? Do I need to specify balcony? Also what is the best way to request a room if I booked through Expedia? Can I not request until I'm there checking in? Wanted to book thru Disney but the discounted rate rooms sold out LITERALLY hours before I called to make the reservation. I was so frustrated. It was either thru expedia or not at all. One final question- we're doing a split stay- since I booked Poly thru expedia- they won't move our bags for us will they? We will have to? Booked CBR thru Disney tho- which is our first resort. Thanks- sorry to take over some!

this is our first stay onsite and I had to convince DH as l he loves bonnet creek for the space, so want it to be amazing so all stays can be onsite!! |

Oh so you're in a similar situation!
I think I might put Tokelau upper level in as my request but I'm starting to lean towards the method of saying at check in "This is a surprise one night stay for the person I'm traveling with (which it in fact is! he doesn't know yet- telling him the first night by giving him a lei to represent our splurge night at the poly)- how much would it cost to upgrade to a lagoon or theme park view?" If the price is not too bad- I'll do it. If it's too high, I'll say thanks anyway and cross my fingers they'll choose a nice room for us. If we end up with a non exciting view- hey at least we're still at the Poly!!!

The Poly is actually quite small. It's made to feel big with curving paths, landscaping and layout. Check on Google maps or earth and you'll discover how small it actually is. Tokelau is my first recommendation for garden view. Largest rooms on property, balconies on all floors (patio first), close to everything and quiet with no parking lot view. Many rooms can also catch a glimps of the lagoon and some the fireworks to the north.
