Restaurant advice

So while we are away DH and I will be celebrating our second wedding anniversary and we wanted to do something nice. The two options I have in mind are:
1. Ressie for 5pm at Sanaa, hope to get a nice window seat and watch the animals. Afterwards head down to the Boardwalk and maybe wander to Epcot for IllumiNations.
OR
2. Make a ressie for 'Ohana (the only available one I can seem to get for that date is 9pm -boo!!) and maybe if we're finished on time watch Wishes (at 10pm) from the beach at the Poly.

I've made the ressie for Sanaa and was sure we would stick with this idea but upon reflection decided to ask you wonderful fellow WDW obsessed for your input. We are totally flexible, Mum is taking DS for the length of time we're gone anyway so thats not an issue and we're not deadset on either place so I'm completely open to any and all suggestions It would be nice to do something nice for our anniversary just us two as last year DS was christened on our anniversary so it was a family affair (which was nice but I'd like some couple time just for the evening!)

I wouldn't pick Ohana for a nice couples meal. Does it need to be one credit? If so stick with Sanaa and not the anniversary on the ressie.

For 2 credits I would suggest either narccoosses at GF or Artist Point at WL. Both have a lovely adult atmosphere and you can see wishes from the beach at WL and GF too.

You could ask for a table by the window and tell them your celebrating something,then you can watch Wishes from your seat,they also pipe the music in

We're paying OOP as not staying onsite so don't want to overspend as I know some WDW restaurants are over priced for the food and service. I don't think DH would like anything on either of those menus. He's the most unadventurous eater EVER!

That'd be nice alright but I have heard that it can be a looooong wait on window tables. I would prefer to eat much earlier, go into Mk for a wander and then back to the Poly for the fireworks but just can't seem to get a decent ressie time. As I said above DH is a boring eater so that doesn't help thing either. Sanaa is about as adventurous as hes willing to go but its just so out of the way from the parks etc I'm not sure what to do!

What about Grand Floridian Cafe then - still has a more adult feel and anything can be made plain

What does he eat?

If you don't want to overspend then seriously Ohana is one of the most overpriced restaurants on property. We had poor service and the food was average at best.

If it was between those two I would go for ohana - unlimited meat tends to go down well with men

Also you can enjoy some nice drinks in the poly too - even just a stroll along the 'beach' before dinner will be lovely!!

He likes what he refers to as 'normal' food. Potatoes, some kinds of veg (not many!) and meat. Hes not mad on chicken, hates fish, doesn't like dessert very much. Eating out with him is a nightmare. I love Italian, he hates it, if we go to the Chinese he'll ONLY eat a curry with chips cause he doesn't like rice. He wouldn't usually go for Indian food and he absolutely hates Thai Makes for very unadventurous eating lol. Thankfully DS seems to be following in my footsteps and loves fish and pasta and spices

Haha unlimited meat is always good! Maybe thats why he likes the Ohana menu lol!
