Weather Channel, Wunderground, or Accuweather?

Now, I know the folly in expecting to have an *accurate* Florida forecast but I'm trying to pack and prepare.

The temperature ranges on all 3 sites for the days we are going are similar (+/- 3 degrees) but the precipitation varies.

Weather channel seems to have the most favorable rain forecast (0-20% daily)

WUnderground has fairly pessimistic rain forecasts (20-40% daily)

Accuweather is right in the middle.

We are currently 5 days out from arrival

Should I plan on ponchos and quick drying shoes?

Honestly there is not any real difference between 20 and 40 percent chance of rain. It's one station hedging a little more than another. And a chance of doesn't mean the showers will cover the entire area. It can rain at one park and another will never see a drop.

My experience at WDW says always expect it to rain. Then you're not disappointed when it does and it's a nice surprise when it doesn't.

At 5 days out the Weather Channel tends to be the most accurate -the best part is that they tend to be conservative about high temperatures! Good for Feb, can be a bit daunting come July... We have some Disney ponchos that we take with us -we roll them up as tight as we can and put them in ziploc's. We've even used one of those space saving bags with all of them in the bag.. we have the ones that you can just roll to get the air out... Have fun!!! This time of year was our favorite time of year when the kids were little..

I encourage you to check out the National Weather Service forecast.

http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick...2=-81.5257&e=0

The NWS Melbourne covers the Orlando area. So local meteorologists are making the forecast.

Actually, we usually look at the local TV station forecasts, including the "video forecast".....................in addition to accuweather and weather.com.

Do like the spaghetti models -- plot all three and merge them into one "likelihood" forecast.
