NASCAR PICKS!! Daytona 500 ~ results & link to Phoenix on page 2
The first race of the 2013 sason will be the "Daytona 500" and will be held on SUNDAY, February 24th.
EVERONE is invited to play. The rules are prett simple. You pick FIVE (5) racers/drivers and a spare before qualifying is scheduled to begin. When you make your picks, please be sure to be as clear as possible on which racer/drver you're picking. You are poicking a driver not a car number. We do as best we can on determining your intent. For example: if you pick ~~> K Busch <~~~ it doesn't indicate whether you meant Kurt or Kyle. So, please be clear. Nw,here is how the scoring works. Your drivers re assigned where they finished in the race. Those numbers are added upand divided by 5. Here's an example. You pick Tony Stewart who finishes 1st. J Johnson who finishes 14th Kyle Busch who finishes 9th J Gordon who finishes 15th D Hamlin who finishes 10t Your spare is Dale Earnhardt JR In this race, the spare is not needed so you add the racers scores. 1 + 14 + 9 + 15 + 10 =49 Divide 49 by 5 and youe score is an 8.8 The spare is used only when one of your picks doesn't qualify or does not participate in the race. In the event you don't pick a spare and one of yourpicks doesn't qualify or if you only pick 4 racers and no spare or one pick and your spare doesn;t qualfy, then a 43 (last place) will be scored in any vacant spots. We also have a "Default thread". You make 5 picks and a spare there so in case you miss a week or just forget to pick...or pick after the qualifing begins..the defaults you chose wil lbe used for that week. The default use is limited to either using them 3 weeks in a row or 5 weks in the season. The default thread is at http://disboards.com/showthread.php?p=47471877 We have another allownce. The ALKL Star race. This race is strictly voluntary. We use the score of this week to fill in a score in case you missed a week before the All Star. If you didn't miss any races, then this score replaces your highest score.
