Good hotel in Boston

Hi! Looking for opinions on a good hotel in Boston. We are coming in July for a few days and are taking in a game at Fenway, and doing some museums and maybe whale watching. Any info or tips is greatly appreciated!

Sorry, we are 2 adults, 3 children!

We stayed at Omni Parker House last year....it is in a great location on the freedom trail and close to transportation. It can be a little pricey but if you register on their site you will get emails on specials, etc. Have fun!!

I should add that the rooms are kind of tiny, for us it was fine (1 adult and 1 child); not sure how that will work for a larger family.

not sure what your budget is but when ever my wife and I catch a game at Fenway we stay at The Hotel Commonwealth. Right in Kenmore Square maybe 5 minute walk to Fenway. they have valet parking and hotel is great.

Also might want to check out the Back Bay Hilton. They have off street parking and not as expensive as the Hotel Commonwealth. Hilton is about a 15 minute walk to the park.

If neither of those fit your needs there are many other nice hotels in the area.

there is a hotel where the old Charles St Jail used to be which is kind of neat. Very expensive but unique. I cannot remember the name.

The Sheraton is at the Prudential Center and within walking distance to restaurants, shops, Fenway, the Fine Arts museum and much more. It is also close to a T stop that can take you where you want to go.

I was just going to post the same thing.
We've stayed there last 2 years, it is a great location and can walk to everything.
Fenway is very close. They weren't home so we did the tour which was excellent.
We also stayed at the Hilton across the street but didn't like it as much, but it was still nice.

There are a lot of nice hotels in the area. It really depends on your budget. The Colonnade is very nice. There is also a Marriott and a Westin nearby.

We are staying here in March - taking a train there (I think we can walk from the station?), and flying home. How much is a cab to the airport?

We stayed at the Radisson about a block away from the Public Gardens/Boston Common. It was only a couple block walk to the subway too. A little pricy, but was much better than the other prices I was finding in Boston (this was 2009). Loved their sleep number beds too! I'd stay there again.
