Abercrombie Kids Sizes?
My soon to be middle schooler is pining away for a few Abercrombie items and I thought I might grab a few sweatshirts on clearance. Any advice on how sizing works? She is typically a 10/12 in places like Justice and an XS/SM in Aero Postale. These are online, so I can't have her try them on....

My daughter is in sixth grade and the same size as your daughter. I was very surprised at how small their stuff runs. I got her larges, which I thought would be fine and had to take them back for XL and even at that I doubt she will be able to fit into it next year.

My daughter is in 6th grade and the XL size at the kids store just barely fit so we started shopping in the regular store. I don't want to spend all that money and not have her be able to wear the stuff next year. The only problem though is that the regular store is more expensive.

Yep....Abercrombie sizes are small. Eveything is a very slim cut same goes for the adult store. My DD prefers Hollister....the clothes are exactly the same and much cheaper. Plus, the cut is still slim but not as much as Abercrombie.
My DD is 14 and wears a 00/0 pant from Aeropostale so she is rather happy that Aber and Hollister are slim. She wears a L-XL at Aber and a XS-S at Hollister. She can't buy pants at Aber because kids pants are not as narrow in the waist as junior pants. They do, however, have the most awesome soft jeggings that fit well as they are totally stretchy like a legging. |
