Hijacking SORRY! I understand GTY is offered if a certain percentage of a given category has sold, BUT what if when you go to choose your stateroom number it gives you only one room to pick from? Does that mean there is only one room left in that category?
![]() I'm trying to figure out how full a ship actually is if all but one category available (11 categories in this case) are GTY. Anyone have insight to that? Edit to add: We stayed on Deck 2 in 2011 in an inside room. So long as you aren't under the kitchen (and I'm pretty sure none of the OV are) you will be fine! It was easy to get places and little motion. I would love to be there with a window.

Have stayed on Deck 2 on the Dream and the Magic. Both trips were great! Love that location. I bet it will be better than you think. Enjoy!

We have been on deck 2 OV and loved it! We have been ondeck 6 inside and it was okay but not great as we felt so mich more motion. Would take deck 2 OV over inside any day. Hope you enjoy it too.

We have been on 22 DCL cruises, #23 coming up in a little over 4 weeks. We have been on all 4 ships and we have stayed on Deck #2 almost every time. It is our favorite deck. Regardless of the ship, all deck 2 OV have 1 big porthole.
I don't think you will be disappointed. We prefer deck 2 to the higher decks for many reasons. It is much closer to all the dining rooms, shops, less motion, etc. What ship are you going on? |

Most likely, it won't be changed, but it could. If you are set on having the room you have, you should put "DO NOT UPGRADE" on your reservation. That way DCL knows that you want to stay there.

We have stayed on deck two on both the Wonder and the Magic. We really liked the location. It was only a hike up to the pool, but it was close to everything else. We take the stairs everywhere to work off at the very least the chocolate soufflé from Palo. Yum!

but would be a little disappointed with a full verandah. Does that sound crazy?

You get what you pay for. In this case you got better than you paid for. You should be glad and not mad at Disney. They did the right thing by you.
