A $500 Walk to MK?
So, I was pricing the difference between CR and WL, and it is roughly a $500 difference. I am sure the $500 includes other amenities, but is being able to walk to MK worth the $?
![]() I was on Trip Advisor reading some horrid reviews of the CR. WL has considerably less bad reviews, and even won a trip award. We are booked for the Garden Wing, and I requested a patio room, which I know we may not get. Am I under the correct impression that all WL rooms have a patio(something I really want). This is me reading every review of WL and CR - ![]() I am annoying myself with this indecisiveness. Can someone shed any light on this issue or just tell me to snap out of it, you're going to WDW, relax?!!! |

We've stayed at both. While we love the theming at WL, we prefer CR overall (we're actually staying at BLT this time). The rooms at CR are considerably larger, and we like our space (plus we have a big family). We stayed in the tower, Bay Lake side, and just really enjoyed it. At WL, we did have a small balcony. If you want an actual patio, know some are right on the pool with no privacy. Plus, at CR, you've got the monorail versus all bus/boat service.
While I use TripAdvisor, I tend not to rely on it for Disney or expensive hotels. Non-Disney peeps have different expectations, especially for the price paid.

I haven't stayed at WLAN, however we have stayed at CR and it was worth it to us. We have younger kids who love MK and we stayed during peak season. Being able to walk to MK was worth the price of not having the bus aggravation. Also with 5 people in our family we wanted a room that was large and had everything we needed close ( more amenities). As our kids grow older we are looking towards venturing into other resort that may not be on the monorail line, but the convenience with small kids and midday breaks is worth us paying for right now. You just have to look at your family and see what works best for them. Good luck!

Honestly, I think that you will be pleased with either choice you make. I have personally stayed at the WL 2x's! The resort is Beautiful
. The one thing I can say is having a monorail is such a selling point for us!!

I'm traveling with 2 other adults who literally want me to "just take care of it, we know you'll do great". I SO feel your indecisive, "want it to be the perfect choice" pain. Wanted you to know you're not alone, not one bit.

room size is different. CR is 436 sq ft and WL is 340 sq ft. You can sleep 5 plus a baby under 3 at CR. WL you can sleep 4 plus a baby under 3.

I'm thinking it could be a little tight, especially when bringing in my Bob double stroller. The extra space at CR is a big plus for my mom, who is traveling with us. Thanks!

Theming
Some people feel the theming of the CR is not as Disney as other resorts. Personally I love the space and the view!!! WL is nicely themed ( a little more cramped) but I go to the northwoods at home, not in Fla.

I've stayed at both and much prefer the CR to WL.
