TL questions for parents with 4 year olds

We are going to typhoon lagoon for a day. I was wondering

Can DS wear his swimmies? Will he be able to go on any slides besides the little ones ? What's the height requirements for crushing gusher ? And other slides?

Swimmies are not allowed. But they have life jackets readily available (for free) in a variety of sizes at the entrance to the park, and they work really well.

As for the other slides, it depends to a degree on the slide itself, your son's size and appetite for them, how you feel about letting him go down, etc.

There's a really fun mid-size slide that my kids loved at one end of the big pool. We spent a lot of time there.

edit: Crush and Gusher is 48". Team Boat Springs is a fun alternative for the whole family.

Have a great time!!

We love TL and especially the wave pool, but wanted to warn you to hold on to DS at least the first couple times the wave comes through. It has a VERY strong current, and you'll want to know what it's like before you let him handle one on his own.

Teamboat Springs is at Blizzard Beach, but yes it's a great ride. There is a family raft ride at TL, but the line is always real long and to be honest, the ride kind of sucks.

Also look around the pool before you go in and see how others handle the waves. As I recall there are kind of zones where whether or not you get knocked off your feet is only a few feet apart.

you might want to try Blizzard Beach instead of TL. They have an area called Ski Patrol that most 4 year olds really love. The wave pool at BB is calmer, so you don't have to worry as much about kids getting scraped up on the bottom of the pool. The family raft ride is better and I think the lazy river is longer.
