Minnie321,
these are great FE gifts - thanks for the ideas. I have started buying and planning my FE gifts for my next cruise in April 2014. It sure does help to spread out the cost over a year.

So jealous that you will be cruising tomorrow. Have a great trip!!!

The personal touches you added to each one makes them all very special. They would each be great FE gifts to receive.

The cups which may look like they were expensive were from dollar tree - 1$ each. Then I took the insert out of them and made one on my computer. The coasters are tiles - 11 cents each and printed the design on the computer and put on with mod podge. Photo albums also a dollar - took out the insert and made on on the computer. Calendars - 50 cents and again made a new cover on the computer. The flashlights were bought at a warehouse tool store where I live 2 for a dollar and they came with the batteries. Everything else was basically from the dollar store or just candy stuff.

Just to give an idea if you were thinking about doing a FE group. Now I will say I think most of the people on my cruise are doing one or two things. I just chose to do something for everyday. And yes I have had a year to do it all so the cost was spread out over a year.
Thanks for going into such detail on the gifts! It's amazing what you can do with inexpensive things so thanks for the ideas! I still think you are very talented though!

Have a fantastic cruise!!

Just passing through

I wanted to make sure I could find your post when I get ready to finalize my FE gifts for June. I've begun collecting parts, but haven't made final decisions.

I've already started buying the materials for my FE gifts and we aren't cruising until August 2014! I can't wait!

Best to spread it out and take your time getting it all together. Trust me while we are on this cruise we plan on booking one for may 2014 and I will probably start planning FE stuff when I get back!

For my upcoming cruise, however, I've recruited my super crafty Mom to help out.

Whatever you do, it should be what you're comfortable with. Don't feel like you're in a competition! We appreciated each and every one of our gifts, regardless of their dollar value!
I echo what kalikat420 says. We're sailing for the first time on the Wonder in October. I plan on participating in the FE but won't be able to come close to what we're seeing here and that's okay. To me it seems to be more about the experience and the joy of giving and not a competition on who can give the best gift.

I've got plenty of time to plan what I'll put together but I am restricted because we'll be flying into Houston. The posting of pictures has been helpful because I'm looking for ideas on small, easy to pack FE gifts. I appreciate those who post pictures of their wonderful efforts!

This is like the lottery of fish extenders! SO amazing, over the top, and creative... I also really appreciated that you took the time to break it out for us--I confess my first reaction was, "Holy crap! How much MONEY did she spend?!" It was great to read about the awesome deals you found but that still doesn't detract from the creativity involved nor from the obvious amount of TIME you invested. Total home run, Minnie321! Amazing job and enjoy your cruise!

Terrific ideas-Love the tumblers. I've already designed and had some magnets made through Vista Print. I also hit the dollar store after Christmas for candy for the kids (traveling beginning of December). Think I will try to find a way to make ornaments for each family. How did your cruise turn out?
