Just got the "why stay at Disney's campground?" - The DIS Discussion Forums

From my dad. He's big into Good Sam and was trying to talk us into staying at a Good Sam campground nearby.

Luckily, even though we haven't camped at Disney yet, I always have my "why we stay on property" responses handy.
1. Disney transport throughout the resort, if we care to use it.
2. EMH - we love the evening ones since our kids are a little older and can stay awake.
3. So easy to zip back to the resort for a mid-afternoon rest or swim break.
4. Being totally immersed in Disney for our entire trip.

I was just getting into the camground benefits, including the Chip and Dale singalong when he was like "ok, ok, I didn't realize you got all that extra stuff staying there." LOL

Glad to hear you had a good trip lois!

If I were you I would try to get Dear Dad to stay at the Fort or come visit you while you are there next time. Then he'll become a Fort Fan too.!

Don't think she's actually camped at FW yet, Bama Ed. But, she's done her *homework* and sees value for price (especially compared to other cc's) even *before* she stays even once.

And you don't pay $14.00 a day for parking. So by the time you add it all up the FORT is just as inexpensive and a lot more fun.

Thanks for pointing that out NoM. Good Sam is a good reference for folks but everyone should give the Fort a try.

Thanks for the correction. We'll see how lois' visit goes (if she will tell us).

We don't go until August - but I'm more than a little excited about it.

I will certainly share a report after our trip. The kids were looking at campground pictures today and can't wait to check it all out.
