I went in October and the wifi at the parks was spotty. Eventually I gave up and used 3G.

I used the touring plans Lines app. An advantage of that over the official Disney ones is that it will load faster if you're stuck with the 3G network, since there are no images (just wait times).

I've found this to be true on my last two visits, both in October and January. I also like the way you can quickly hit refresh on the Lines app without having to do a lot of steps. I had LTE service a few times I think maybe in AK but it was spotty. Also it will boot you off and you'll have to sign back in too. It's still hit and miss at the resorts as well. I've used the wifi at GF, CR, Poly and AK.

I like Lines. I think you have to subscribe to touringplans.com to get it. The subscription is like $7 or $12. There is a discount if you have a UG.

We use My Disney Experience and had no problem with it on our last trip and the wait time were pretty darn close. One thing I like to do it check wait times here at home during a time period we are considering going the next year. I know it varies but I can get a really good idea of what the crowds may really look like during that week. Sorta makes me feel like I am there too

Mobile magic is great for making dining reservations, especially with all the problems the website has been having. It frequently shows more time options for me.
