Question Thinking of changing dates

We have not booked yet because as of now our plans are for Jan. 31-Feb. 9, 2014. However, as we sit here watching a Disney Parks DVD that we have on the cold snowy day, we are wondering about Oct. or Nov.

How much more crowded in Oct./Nov.?
How much more money???

Our dates for Oct., Nov., Jan., and Feb. are flexible for best rates and lowest crowds.

As of now our plans are to stay at coronado springs cabanas (Hoping for 8a)

We use to go in April for our Sons's birthday..then one year we switched it up and went in January...3rd week.
We LOVED it!!
The weather was perfect! Parks were quiet.
We've decided that we will always look at going the 3rd/4th week of January!

We are going Jan 25th-Feb 2nd 2014

DGF went for 6 days during the 2nd week of October, and it was WAY more packed than I had expected! That was really the only drawback to my birthday week in the World. Weather was gorgeous, with the only day of rain coming on our arrival day. Another great thing about Oct/Nov is you will get to take in the Food and Wine Festival! Though if you're concerned about crowds, Epcot is usually bustlin' that time of year. Also, with all those treats and drinks around Epcot, you might find yourself spending a wee bit more.. ( I know we did lol)

DGF and I are planning her next birthday in Disney for the same days you have planned, and we're excited about it. If you're looking for less crowds and the value season, you might be better off keeping your original date.

October is busy due to our Canadian thanksgiving in October and Halloween as well..
you can't beat the January crowds..or lack there of.

I think the longest wait time last January trip was 14 min and that was to get on test track for the 3rd time that morning!

I think it all depends on what's important to you. If you are all about the parks and don't care about the pool or water parks Jan is great very low crowds, but it can be very cold in Jan down into the 30's. We have been in mid Sept and the crowds were very light but the weather was a bit hot. The Mickey's not so Scary halloween party was running at the end of the week and didn't seem to affect the crowds. Disney also sometimes does free dinning in the fall so that could be a big savings.

Our past 3 January trips have been in January.
We do not do the water parks normally but we spent the majority of our downtime poolside at CBR.
We've worn shorts and short sleeved shirts the whole trip. With the exception of one night we wore our sweatshirts to go fill our drink cups but ended up taking them off halfway there.

Last January trip it was between 75-82 during the day!
Weather is unpredictable..but we always have had wonderful January trips!

Officially have the room booked for the 31st of January through the 8th of February for the DGFs birthday!

Just a heads up: If you looking to book a vacation package for next year, the Cast Member I spoke with told me to keep my eyes peeled late March/early April for the 2014 rates. She told me that they were released last year around that time, and it wouldn't be a big surprises if they did the same this year. Not sure how much water this holds, but I thought it would be good to pass it on.
