Mr Beanís £1 million car repair bill

Rowan Atkinsons crashed McLaren F1 cost his insurers a massive £910,000 in repair bills, according to a report in the Daily Telegraph.
This is following the famous actor and comedians 2011 accident in the iconic machine.

After Atkinsons unplanned off-road excursion, the vehicle was sent back to McLaren headquarters in Woking for an assessment of the extent of the damage.
Technicians took four weeks to fully evaluate the cost of the repair, eventually providing Atkinsons insurer with a near-£1 million bill for the job.

The company then had to make a decision whether it would be cheaper to return the vehicle to its former condition or write it off. And with a bill of £910,000 to foot we cant definitively state what the F1 is valued at today but we can try.

Atkinson purchased his McLaren at the time the fastest vehicle in the world for £650,000 in 1997 following his staring role in Mr Bean the movie.
Since then second hand F1 values have soared, with an example selling in 2008 for £2.5 million.

Its not the first time Atkinson has come a cropper in his F1 though. Back in 1999 the film and TV star hit a Rover Metro in Scotland, damaging the front of the vehicle.
The McLaren F1 is powered by a 627hp 6.1-litre BMW V12 engine that on standard road gearing means the car can complete the 0-62mph sprint in just 3.2 seconds, yet hit a staggering 240mph.

The F1 set the record for the fastest ever production vehicle in 1998, hitting 243mph. It remained the worlds fastest car until it was eventually bettered by the 253mph Bugatti Veyron in 2005.

Rowen does love fast cars. He has also raced cars as well.

He has also been on UK's Top Gear in which he took first place (at the time) on the Stars In Reasonably Priced Cars board.
Yeah I'm a dude...
