Just wondering....is it hard to get a Professional Internship without doing the DCP?

It really depends. There are alumni only professional internships (which require you to have participated in the CP). However, for all other PIs, my experience has been that they are looking for the best candidate who fulfills the job description. Therefore, CP or Disney experience is NOT required. (In fact my experience was that most non-alumni positions were NOT filled by individuals who had worked for the company).
However, in some cases it helps to know the hiring manager (or a member of the team) and there someone with Disney experience my have an advantage. Hope this helps!

Thank you for your response. Good to know. My daughter's school doesn't participate in the College Program so it wasn't an option especially there isn't any categories that have anything to do with her major.

Off topic question.....does Disney provide housing for PI like they do for DCP? My daughter is there for the DCP and is hoping to get a PI later. However would this mean renting an apartment and providing your own transportation?

Housing
There are a limited number of Disney housing units available on a first-come-first-serve basis. In my recent interview, the interviewer recommended that should I receive an offer, if I am looking for the Disney housing, I should respond ASAP.

There is no transportation offered to professional interns and the housing I would not recommend unless paying $2160/month for a 2BR is something you can afford.

The $2160 is for 4 people combined per month so really your expense per week is $135. If you can afford that per week then I say go for the housing. It's one less hassle if you get a PI.
