An Alaska Disney cruise in Vancouver? Do any hotels have transfers to and from the airport and port???

TIA

We stayed at the Fairmont Pacific Rim in 2011 which was one of the DCL hotels - it was literally across the street from the cruise terminal. There are several hotels right there.

The Pan Pacific is right on top of the cruise terminal. We stayed there last year and it was very convenient. It is a bit pricey though (we stayed on miles) so keep that in mind.

For transfers from the airport we took a limo - it wasn't much more than a cab. It was a 20-30 minute ride. There is also a train that runs from the airport to a pretty central location downtown if you don't have to much luggage to manage.

We stayed at Pan Pacific. It was a great location. We had a corner room and we loved watching the sea planes land.

we used the Sky Train to get top and from the airport. And just walked the block or so to the hotel.

If you take a peek at my trip report in my signature from our Alaska cruise, you can get an idea of what we did. We were among some of the first cruisers when Disney went to Alaska, and Disney really didn't have their transfers all figured out. They ended up having a limousine pick us up. Long story short...we really liked our limo driver. He was great about telling us about the history of Vancouver as he drove us to our hotel. Anyhow, he gave us his business card when he dropped us off. We ended up deciding to call him, and he took us all over Vancouver. It was a blast! Plus, it was very cost effective. The info on our limo driver is located in my trip report if you're interested. Good luck!

We stayed at the Westin. Got a good rate on Priceline. Not close to the pier but taxi wasn't too expensive either. Drove us right up to the porters and we were on our way. Easy peasy. And the hotel was in a lovely location on the marina and very close to the park. Rented bikes the morning before embarkation and had a wonderful ride through the park.

"Inexpensive" and "Vancouver" hotels during cruise season aren't a good combination if you are on a budget. We are staying at an airport hotel the night before and taking the skytrain to the port the next day. We are saving over $150 doing it this way. Hey...you gota cut corners where you can in Alaska.

I also use Priceline quite a bit but don't have a feel for downtown Vancouver rates yet. betterbidding.com can help with that as the time gets closer.

I played with Priceline quite a bit until I felt I could narrow it down pretty well. We got the Westin at the beginning of August for $110. The room had no view but we weren't in it much anyway. And the bed was so comfy!

The port area in Vancouver is nothing like in PC. It is in the middle of everything...shopping, restaurants, hotels, anything you could want. You can walk to many places and there are lots of places when you can rent bikes to tour the city as well. We even went back to see the ship off the day we disembarked. We could talk to the CMs on Deck 4 from the viewing area.

Also got the Pan Pacific on Hotwire for around $135. It was a 5 star 85% I think.

We loved the Fairmont Waterfront. We could see the Wonder out our window and with the windows cracked, we could hear the announcment chimes and the warning that smoking was not allowed because the ship was fueling.
