Cruising with 7 family members

I've got a "Yours, Mine, and Ours" situation that I'm looking for guidance on. My husband and I are currently booked for a fall cruise out of Galveston with our two kids, ages 9 and 12 (at time of cruise). We've got a 1-bedroom suite on the Wonder. I've decided I'd like to bring our older kids from our previous marriages. My stepson is 32 and my daughter and her husband are 31 and 28 respectively.

I've already asked my TA to quote me two options. One would be to keep the 1 bedroom suite and adding a stateroom with veranda for my daughter and her husband. The second option would be to switch the reservation to a 2 bedroom suite for all of us. Am I nuts in thinking 7 people would work in a 2-bedroom?

Has anyone out there traveled in a similar scenario? How did you handle it? Thank you in advance!

Personally, I'd go with the separate room. 7 people in one room (which it basically is) all adults (or adult-sized)? Not my comfort zone.

I would clarify exactly where the beds are in the 2-bedroom for everyone to sleep in and only then figure out if that configuration would work for you. You might have to take the "2nd" bedroom to be with your younger children while giving the "master" to your daughter and her husband; would that be acceptable to you if you're footing the bill? That said, your stepson is going to be in a pull-down no matter what, so the benefits of one room vs. two rooms (not having to negotiate if you buy the photo CD, everyone has concierge cards so you can wait together to board, and then all board right away) should be considered.
