Hey everyone,

We are first time cruisers and I had a question about luggage. We are driving in, not doing any transfers or anything. So we don't have any airline restrictions on our luggage.

My question is this -- are there any DCL restrictions on the amount of bags allowed? I know space is tight, so of course we won't go overboard. Just wondered if there was a specific number of bags allowed per person?

Not sure, but when they do send luggage tags, they send 2 per person. When DH and I are just traveling, we manage with 3 pieces of medium sized luggage for a 7-night cruise. And I still feel like we bring too much...

They request two items per person. Thus, the two tags. But I've never heard of them enforcing the rule.

DCL will send you 2 luggage tags per person. There is no specified limit on how many bags you may bring, so if you need additional tags, you will get them at the port.

Pack what you need - and whether it's a lot in a few large bags, or a smaller amount in more smaller bags, it can still go with you. As others have said, you'll get two tags per person when you get your documents, but they have more tags at the port when you drop your luggage off with the porters. If you find that you'll need additional tags, you may want to print some labels with your cabin information on it to have instead of having to hand-write on the labels that the porters give you.
