If you think a three day is short :-)

We did a two day preview on the Dream and we literally felt like we never even unpacked

2 day is just a cruel tease

Interesting. It looks like it is a "cruise to nowhere", just out of Miami, a day at sea, and then back again.

Yep. I'm on it after the 5-night double dip as a back to back. Just a weekend cruise to no where!

We did the 2 night DCL preview cruise in 2011 out of FL on the Dream and a 2 night cruise to nowhere out of NYC on the Magic summer 2012. They are short but we still had a good time except at dinner. It is definitely a tease and to me, not a great reflection on how good a cruise the normal itineraries are. I took all new cruisers with me on the 2 night Magic and we had terrible service...everything felt rushed at dinner (hopefully was just a bad serving team) as we always had stellar service on all our other DCL cruises. I felt they did not get a great representation of how good DCL is. I actually felt like our serving team knew it was only for 2 nights so why bother providing great service.

I jokingly told DH we'd hit Palo & room service and skip the MDRs altogether However, being it will be a back to back, I can request the same serving team we will have on the 5-night previous.

I'd do it if we lived within two hours of Miami. It would be like our weekend trips to Louisville or Indiana. If I had to fly just for this cruise then I wouldn't do it.

I did the two night out of LA. Such a fun, quick get-away. Two tips: if possible, it should not be your first DCL trip- just too short and it helps to know your way around the ship, and board as soon as you can to maximize day one.
