Spilt Visit

We are arriving in August and this is our first spilt visit. My question is do we have to move our luggage from one resort to another or will bell services do it for us?

Disney will move your bags for you. If you go that route don't expect your bags until 3-4PM.

This! But- you don't have to lose any park/touring on the day you switch resorts. Give your luggage to bell services on the morning of your switch, then head out to a park or whatever you want to do for the day. In the late afternoon, go to your new resort and check in. Once in your new room, call for your luggage to be delivered. Just keep with you anything you may need during the day such as medications and such.

My way of moving to a new resort differs depending on time of year. So, for August, I would hand off my bags as early in the morning as possible. Then I would head to a park until after lunchtime. I would then head to the new resort and get checked in. If the room isn't ready yet, I would grab a bite to eat. If I was smart, I took my bathing suit with me that morning, so would be able to go for a swim while waiting for the room to be ready. After getting into the room, I would head to another park for the rest of the evening.
Just a heads up....I've had Disney move my bags more times than I can count. I have yet to get my bags any sooner than 5:30. So, if there is anything you might need for the rest of the day, take it with you in the morning!
