Fish Extender with multiple rooms

Our family has two conjoined rooms. There are six of us total. Should we do a Fish Extender on each door (3 on each) or all 6 of us on one?

Do people usually get a gift for each person or sometimes a family gift?

Thanks

Did you sign up for the FE as one group? In our FE's we've have families that were in two rooms(Dad & kids/Mom & kids). They usually had just one FE on one of the rooms. Sometimes they had separate FEs for the ones who were in each room.

As to how the gifts are done, it can be one per room; or one for the adults/one for the kids in each room; or one per person; or one for the adults and separate ones for the kids. It's up to you how you do your gifts.

I'd ask these questions on your FE thread, as that's really where such decisions are made.

If it's just mom, dad, and the kids, one FE between the two staterooms is fine...but it's really up to you if you want one or separate ones. Different people handle gifts differently. Some do one gift for the entire stateroom, others do a gift for each person, and yet others will do a single gift for the adults with individual gifts for each child.

Have fun and enjoy!

Thanks. My FE group is small. Its not till July but we only have 4 families at this point. I will ask the group about their plans

We have mom/dad & 4 kids. Have you seen FE of 6? That wouldn't be too long?

You don't really have to make an FE with 6 pockets. I just did one pocket (it's very large/deep) on ours. I didn't want a pocket for everyone...we can figure out who it's for...

On our next cruise I am giving one FE gift per family, no matter how many rooms they are in. Everyone does their FE gifting differently.

In my opinion, if you plan in doing an extender for each room, it should be treated as 2 separate groups. Most givers will give at least a gift in each extender. Therefore, be prepared to also give from each room. To put it another way, if your party receives two sets of gifts (one set for each extender) then your party should also give 2 sets of gifts. At the same time, like others have said, ultimately it's up to your FE group as to how the group collectively wants to do it. This is just how I feel about it.

Yes. I think this is the way I will do it. I'll happily gift twice. The three families in my FE group each only have 1 child. I have FOUR!!! lol. I'd like to double up anyway now that I'm thinking about it.

Thanks for all the responses

2 rooms with 2 FE should count as 2 "families" participating IMHO. If you want to be one family, do one FE on one cabin only. Of course, if you are 2 families, you should plan to give 2 gifts.

As a family of 2, I never felt bad about a family of 4....but pushing it to 6 is a little much if I'm doing individual gifts. Sort of like "If I'm giving 6, I ought to receive 4 (not 2)". Some FE groups do individual, some do family...up to you and your group.

We have two adjoining rooms as well but we are only doing one FE. We just hang it by one door and let everyone in our group know it covers both rooms.

I've done gifts both ways, for our Hawaiian cruise I did a group gift in the beginning of the cruise and individual at the end. It worked out that the group gift fit better at the beginning (disney fabric pocket tissue holders) and the individual at the end (luggage handle covers to find your luggage easier- these I themed to favorite characters for the kids and the adults got Pirates for the guys and hawaiian flowers for the ladies.)

We got fabric luggage handles once... GREAT idea--we still use them.
And I think however you choose to do it will be fine; FEs are for making a great time even better, not for stressing.
Have fun on your cruise!
