Finally got my own way - TR - 16.10.12

Tuesday 16th October

We had a late lazy morning, as we were feeling a little run down! We got to Magic Kingdom in time for our 1pm reservation at Crystal Palace. The food was really nice, there was a great variety on offer; the service let it down though. We waited ages for our drinks, and then had to wait even longer for a refill, after politely asking more than once and then even longer for the bill.
Having said all that, the characters were really fun!

Great place, looks beautiful, but possibly not somewhere I’d return to. Never say never though!

After lunch, we strolled around Fantasyland, got a FP for Winnie the Pooh and a surprise FP for Dumbo (Tom was so excited about Dumbo!) I really wanted to go on the Carousel, so we queued in the super short line. I had heard about trying to find Cinderella’s horse, but didn’t have much faith as there were lots of people around me…

Oh yeh, that’s right! The horse stopped right in front of me, so I was Cinderella for all of 2 minutes!

This ride just sums up Disney for me – it’s the one ride you always see little Princesses on and never fails to make me smile!

Anyway, next we bounced along with Winnie the Pooh before flying with Dumbo.

We met Minnie and Daisy next in their circus gear, which was great fun. Tom and I played along and the Photopass lady was having a great time!

Time to check out the new card game – Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom. This game is brilliant for the boys!

Oh yeh, and I love Hades, so this definitely helps! There isn’t enough Hercules for me!

Guests were starting to appear in their Halloween gear, so we changed our tshirts and head over to Tomorrowland to meet Buzz Lightyear! He was so impressed!

The Speedway barely had any queue (which I have NEVER SEEN!) so we jumped straight in and had a blast!

We then had a drink in Starlight Café before planning our party. We head straight over to meet the infamous seven dwarves, after seeing Tiana and Naveen (my new favourite Princess!), who told us to bring back some “mushy peas” and “jaffa cakes”. Really? Is that what we’re known for? Hehe!

Big Thunder Mountain was a walk-on, and wow, it’s so amazing in the dark!

And of course, no Halloween party would be complete without a trip to the Haunted Mansion. And Madame Renata was sat outside compering! She was amazing – I was stood for about 15 minutes, just listening to her!

Sorry, not a great photo!

We decided to set up camp on Main Street to watch the Hallowishes fireworks, and had a cheeky hotdog from Casey’s… Yum! I didn’t take any pictures of the fireworks as I kinda wanted to take it all in, but they were fantastic!

A sneaky peek inside the Be Our Guest restaurant …

Looks like it’s going to be a popular place, it’s beautiful!

We settled ourselves down in Frontierland. Tom was trying to film the Headless Horseman, but some lady was having a scrap with a cast member because she wanted to walk over to the other side of the track. The cast members were all pretty worried because a couple of days before the horse slipped whilst doing its run, so they were taking extra precautions. Which makes perfect sense to most people!

The parade was amazing, lots of great characters and floats that you don’t normally see! And a lot them were interacting with Tom and I!

We had already met Buzz, time to meet Woody and Jessie!

We then wandered around to the castle to watch the Villains Mix and Mingle show, which was good fun. The Queen of Hearts mini solo at the end was hilarious! As the show finished, we turned to move on, Gaston was right there! We had a quick chat with him, he was really funny – “It’s a pleasure to meet me, I’m so glad you did!”

We hit the last candy trail in Tomorrowland and had one last ride on Space Mountain.

We decided to call it a night, and left at about 12.30am. After grabbing some Photopass pictures, we got to the car…

We had a fantastic night – met loads of great characters, had some brilliant interaction with them, and it was so nice to see a whole variety of people dressed up!

Next - Le Cellier and the Food and Wine Festival!

To be honest, we looked pretty pathetic in our tshirts compared to some people - they really make an effort!! But, considering we weren't gonna dress up at all, I am SO glad we did, even if it was that simple! Best $40 we spent!

It was our first MNSSHP, but hopefully not our last! Hehe, that picture does make me chuckle! X

We saw a woman dressed as belle and she looked as good if not better then the real Belle and her husband looked amazing as the beast human form though (prince Adam I think he is called). She couldn't do anything though.

I have done it 3 times and only dressed up once. I love the atmosphere that alone is worth the money x
