Grand Floridian Theme Park View
I've never stayed at the Grand Floridian before and am deciding between the outer building theme park view and main building theme park view.
Are there big differences in room or quality of view? Thanks! |

We've never had a TPV room so I can't compare/comment on the view, but as far as the actual rooms, they are all the same. However, the main building is all club level, so a TPV room in the main building is going to be quite a bit more expensive than an outer building TPV. With that said, main building club level (Royal Palm Club) is amazing and if the cost is doable, I would definitely recommend it

We had the theme park view and it nice, but far away.
We found that never were able to enjoy the fireworks from the room because we were always gone.

We love GF and have stayed in the main building on all visits except one. I must say we really missed the main building club level amenities but I must admit that I do not think TPV is "worth it" we just prefer the standard view at GF. The only resort that we reserve the TPV is Contemporary. JMO.

I agree with PP. Although I love staying GF RPC, I don't think TPV is worth it there. I also don't like the outer buildings. If I can't stay RPC, I prefer to stay at a different resort.

This helps a lot. We usually stay at beach club, never been to Grand Floridian. I want to go for only 2 days for my 50th birthday and want to do something different. I'm hoping there will be a Mickey Christmas party the day we are staying so I suppose view isn't important since we'll be there.

We stay GF TPV every time, in Boca Chica. We find it worth the price and LOVE the view - we watch the fireworks from the room every night we're there (with younger children, it ends up being nearly every night). We've been "closer" at BLT but I didn't care for the view as much.

i posted this question on the gf a few days ago but no one has had a chance to answer it yet. i hope you don't mind my asking it here since this thread has been getting some "traffic:"
we will have a theme park view main building during our upcoming stay. can anyone describe for me where they are located and what the view is? i mean, i know it is a view of the mk, lol. but what else am i looking at? looking on the map they appear to be at the very end of the hallway, overlooking the marina, but was curious if there are other possibilities, as well. the pics on this thread were very helpful but also wondered what else exists. thank you!! |
