Getting to Grand Floridian

We have an 8:00 breakfast reservation and staying at POR. What is the best method to get there and then to MK. We wont have a car. Or would it be better to wait and go there when we are staying off site and just drive there?? Thanks If we go there in the morning at 8 can we make it to the opening of MK at 9?? We would not dawdle with coffee.

I would take early bus to MK and then monorail to GF. Assuming you will be at 1900 PF (?), the amount of time it takes is up to you. As a buffet, you could easily be in and out and back to MK by 9:00.

Take a cab. Probably cost no more than $20. Ask the bellhop to arrange the cab. Mousesavers.com has info on cab prices and how to schedule.

I'd agree with the taxi. You can do a bus, but it would take forever! A cab would be much better!!!

You can call bell services before you leave your room & they will have a cab waiting when you get to the lobby.

Take the bus to MK and the little ferry boat to GF. Then you hop on the boat to come back to MK. Quicker than the Monorail IMHO.

Perhaps on the way to the GF, but not from the GF to MK. MK is first stop after GF on monorail, plus the monorail is right near the main building where you will be eating breakfast. Not that the bost dock is so far, but the ferry goes from the GF to the Poly before going to the MK. Monorail will be quicker for sure to MK.

Oops, yes you are right on that. I forgot on the return it goes to Poly first. Monorail is the way to go for getting back to MK!

I'm not convinced you could get to MK by 9 if your sit-down breakfast is at 8. By the time you get seated, get drinks, get food from the buffet (or order and get served if it's not 1900), eat, pay the bill and transport to MK, it will almost certainly be after 9:00.

I agree. And you have to go through bag check, etc.
