BOG kids menu
Our family of 5 would like to eat lunch at BOG during our June trip. I have 1 picky dd and a ds with sensory issues. There isn't anything on the menu that either one of them would eat. My question is, can we bring a counter service meal in from a nearby restaurant?
Thanks for any help or ideas.

Would you bring Wendy's food into a MacDonald's for lunch? I wouldn't. There are many, many, many restaurants in the MK and WDW that cater to picky kids. BOG happens to not, by some's definition. Is there somewhere else you can all eat together?

I just looked at the menu the other day and this was my exact question.

I have tanken Long John Silvers into Wendy's. I have taken Flame Tree BQ into Pizzafari. So what you are stating is because we have picky kids, the adults should not be aloud to eat there?

When you bring up McDonalds/Wendys, you are talking about competitors. Do you really consider 2 restaurants within the Magic Kingdom competitors? They are both Disney owned.

I don’t see a problem with what the OP is suggesting. The BOG kid’s lunch menu is kind of bad. I know my children wouldn’t eat from it.

OK then I stick with what I said above. I say it is OK. We will probably go to Pinocchio's and grab the kids the adult chicken nugget basket and carry it in with us. We will get them drinks at BOG. Either way Disney is getting money to feed 4 people.

I have a son with sensory/OT issues, I would not hesitate to bring in something for him to eat. What WILL he eat- is there something on the menu the could be modified- as in buttered bread and fries instead of a sandwich and you could bring in chicken nuggetts and a cup of applesauce to go with it? Trust me, I understand.

I don't see a problem with this. In fact, I love Flametree so during our last trip I wanted Flametree BBQ, but my 21 mo. old DD wanted chicken nuggets. I got my food and took it to Resturantasaurs and then ordered for her and DH. Bonus, we got to eat inside rather than have the birds attach us at the outside tables near Flametree.
The only issue I see is if there is a long line getting into BOG for lunch that day, your child's food may get cold while waiting to order. We had to wait about 20 min. to be seated at BOG. I hear you about the kid's menu there. My DD was not impressed with that menu. I split the croque monisuer with her.

While I agree with you 100% that the Wendy's/McDonald's comparison is not apt because they are competitors and Disney food is Disney food, (people bring Turkey Legs from the Frontier Land cart into Pecos Bill's all the time), I do not know how this would work at BoG because of the logistics of the line. If you get the kids' food first, you'll be holding it for 45 minutes or more while you wait in line, order and get to your table. If you get to your table before leaving to go get the kids' food, you will not be able to get back in to the restaurant. Best to feed the kids first and then bring them along with you to BoG and perhaps buy them a dessert to eat while you dine.

Maybe because I am not a local and only go to WDW 1-2 times per year, but I would not want to make two separate QS lines. I would just pick a place that the family would enjoy (yes, kids included) and eat there. It just seems like such a waste of valuable time (and money, since entrance fees are not cheap).
