TH or Cape May breakfast?

Trying to decide which breakfast to do. Donald is a must.

We can do Tusker House on our AK day. We are doing dinner at Boma that night.

Or we can do Cape May before our Epcot Day.

My boys are 3 and 5. Looking for good character interaction and good food.

We are staying at AoA and will take a taxi to breakfast.

My sons favorite to this day is Tusker House( mickey waffles and tater tots) its a must for us every trip..It is a really yummy buffet with great options for all so I certaintly don't mind it.The character are great as well as characters at Cape May just think the food is better at TH.

Cape May was awesome in June. Characters came around 3 times and food was terrific. Are going again on next week.

While my preference is Tusker House, because the food is great and I get an 8 am ADR and am right there, ready to go when the park opens,
In your case I think I'd do Cape May. It's the second best breakfast buffet in WDW, IMO, and there are two things specific to you that would give it the edge...
First, you're already doing a sit-down on your AK day.
Second, if Donald is a must, you'll get more Donald at Cape May. At Tusker House, Donald is outside and poses with each family for a photo. Then you go in to eat and Goofy, Daisy and Mickey come around to the tables. There's also a little parade where the children can follow whichever character is in their section around the room with African instruments. But at Cape May, Donald will make a visit to your table.
So, either way, you'll have a great character meal, but I think Cape May might be the right pick this time.

Thanks everyone. I was concerned about TH and Boma on the same day. The boys are young and I don't want to over do it. Cape May it is!

We have done dinner at Cape May every trip but never breakfast so for our upcoming trip we're doing Cape May's breakfast instead of Tusker House.

Can't wait to give it a try!!!

We just had breakfast at Cape May in December and we won't be back...not at those prices. The food wasn't very hot (and we were there when they opened), the selection was lacking. We ate at Tusker House in September and thought there was much more variety, a great kid dance thing with the characters.

Not a fan at all of Cape May for breakfast. Character interaction is very good, that I will agree with. But as for the food; I was not impressed. I'm sorry, for as much $$$$ as they charge for Cape May I would expect a fresh omelette station instead of just a premade scrambled eggs or limited premade omelettes on a steam table. Like the pp, the food was not very hot and my server was somewhat agitated when I asked for a fresh omelette. 20 minutes later a luke warm omelette was slid across my table. The highlight other than the characters was the variety of fresh fruits... Cape May is not a place I will be returning to anytime soon. While I am not a big breakfast eater at home other than a bowl of Cheerios, almond milk, and a banana, I much prefer Tusker House.
