Just bumping this one as I'm curious to know when you find out what your dining rotation is. Is it when you receive your pre-sruise documents or when you board the ship? Thanks!

When you arrive at the port it will be printed on your key to the world card.

Yet another question I'm afraid...!

How easy is it to request your rotation? I know that I want to be in Animators Palate or Tritons for formal and semi-formal night. We also have a Palo dinner reservation on one of the MDR nights and the regular Animators palate menu is my least favourite so I figured requesting AP for our Palo night.

In an ideal world, I would like a rotation of TAPA_T_
(the _ indicates no preference)

Any idea how much of a request can be honoured?

Thanks!

I called yesterday to make our dining rotation request. The CM I spoke with made sure that I understood I was doing just that - making a request. Nothing is guaranteed and we will not know which one we are assigned to until we check-in at the port.

Good luck!

I thought I just read that the rotation for this year is first and second night the same restaurant....... ( where did I see that? ) So:
PPATPAT for example.

Maybe someone who has cruised this year can comment.

I think every cruiser would like to be in Tritons for formal night or semi formal!!!
There are only three different rotations that will assigned and the rotaions are already in place.
Depending on how they work this year one restaurant is repeated three times.
You can not request certain restaurants certain nights.
I thought I read they were
PPATPA
AATPATP
TTPATPA
Again, not sure where I saw that so it might not be correct.
If requesting a dining rotation is important to you, then maybe just request your least favorite restaurant on your Palo night. And then you will have to wait and see how the rotation works when you board. Again, it is only a request and may not be granted.

Thanks for your help - that makes perfect sense. Now, I just need to decide which rotation looks best!

I really wish I wasn't a planning stress-head. I like to have everything organised, maybe I should try planning nothing and go with the flow. It'll be much easier!!!

This will be our 6th cruise and I have never requested a dining rotation. Just something else you can't control ( like the weather!) so we dont worry about it. And we have had formal night in Parrot Cay. It all worked out.

What we do is book Palo for 8pm when we have early dining. This year we are going to try late dining so we booked Palo for 6 pm.That way, we still go to our dining rotation with our boys, and we just have an appetizer or a glass of wine while they eat. If there is something going on, we don't miss it! ( Amimators palate show, pirate night etc)
Works well for us. We have enjoyed our servers in the dining rooms so much over the past years.
Don't stress....it's not a big deal.

This years rotation repeats the second nights restaurant on the third night. Formal night (Golden Mickey) is the second night because its a sea day. Then they finish the other two signature menus. The last 3 nights are special menus - Toy Story menu replaced pirate night and Taste of Alaska was semi formal night and last night is Til we meet Again.

Our rotation was PTTAPTA so we had formal and semi formal night in Tritons.
