Splitsville lanes at DTD

my neigbor is taking her kids (ages 14-20) to DTD for one day....they are an easy going bunch ... and would love to do pretty much anything.
besides DQ and shopping... is Splitsville worth the money and time there?

has anyone gone to Splitsville recently ...is it something special?

Well, it only opened a month ago, so not many of us have been to really give an accurate review.

My girlfriend and I went to Splitsville about a week ago. We didn't bowl however, just had dinner. We really enjoyed it though. We made sure to walk around, go upstairs, and take a look at everything before we sat down. The place is pretty awesome. Two floors of bowling (30 lanes im pretty sure) and tables and music. There's always a DJ upstairs and there is a bar as well. They also have a sushi bar along with their regular menu. I think they will definitely enjoy it. The kids will have fun as well as the adults. Definitely a really nice place, I really like it. They did a good job Also, I really like how the seating for the bowling lanes are nice big booths with tables so you can eat dinner and bowl at the same time.

EDIT - Only complaint...a couple of the hostesses downstairs (younger girls, some seemed 16-18) seemed a little inexperienced and unprofessional. Definitely understandable though as this place did just open. Nothing that would stop me from going back!

Can you pre-book a lane here or is it first-come first-serve?

Just went in on Saturday! It looked pretty cool! I'd go and bowl.

Sounds like an awesome way to cool off and have fun with the kids this August. Definitely plan to look into reserving a lane for some bowling and grub.

We did it Christmas week, at the time it was first come, first served. We got a buzzer which worked even if we went to nearby shops. We poked around the stores, came back, got a table and ordered snacks. Then we were up! They moved our food to the lane, set it all up for us, and we had a lot of fun! Nephews 10 and 12 have requested to return in April. Nice break from the parks and hustle and bustle. The food was fine, and there's a waiter at the lanes to bring you more food or more beverages. I didn't know you could pre-book now, so I better get on that!!!!

DD10 and I bowled during the day in the beginning of January. It was truly one of the highlights of our trip! We had so much fun! It is such a fun atmosphere. We paid $15 each for 1 and 1/2 hrs. of bowling which included the shoes. We were able to get 4 games in. We bowled upstairs which made the experience unique. The service is great, they were very attentive. Of course there was hardly anyone there since it was daytime. We didn't eat but got a Splitsville souvenir cup for the Freestyle Coke machine which includes unlimited refills for the entire day. We had never used a Freestyle Coke machine before so it was a novelty for us. The cost was close to $10 with tax.
This is not your average bowling alley and I think it's a great addition to DTD! My older two are teenagers and we have been to Disney a lot so this will very much appeal to them for something fun to do on future trips.
Definitely check it out!!

My DH and I were there last Wednesday and also able to get 4 games in during our 90 minutes. Four games + shoe rental at home would be about $15 each so we deemed it a good time and a decent value. And they have bowling balls with Mickey...what else could you want

This sounds like fun! I'm def going to look into doing this for our May trip. We also always make a point of a movie at the fork and screen at AMC so I think we will need a whole day at DTD.
