Concierege level is not guaranteed the early dinner seating
I've read on a lot of posts that concierge level rooms are guaranteed the early/main seating. This is not true. I just booked a concierege room on the Fantasy for October. We were given second seating and wait listed for the first.
I'm not complaining. I just thought I'd pass on this information since it seems there's some information out there. |

Keep checking though. I was told 2nd as well but that I wanted first when I made the reservation and then all of a sudden, it was on there. I am not sure when it got changed but it changed quickly. So there is still hope that you will get exactly what you want. Maybe they bump concierge to the top of the wait list?! Good luck.

I will be shocked, if you aren't moved to first seating. Maybe, I'm low maintenance, but all my requests have been met by the concierge team.

All it will take for you to be switched is an email to shoreside concierge. Those are definitely moved before others.

For our last cruise we were on the waiting list for early dining, before we upgraded to concierge. After we upgraded to concierge, the wife called a couple of days later and asked if we could get main dining and a 4 place table for us and the res we were linked to. She was informed that as soon as we had upgraded to concierge this was automatically taken care of. As a PP stated a call or email to shoreside concierge will get it straightened out.

not bursting anyone's bubble but on our cruises we have pretty much always been wait listed for first seating and have always gotten it. we have never gone concierege. I think they just list it as full to see if they can move people to the second seating who might not have wanted it but do not mind if that is what is assigned. I have talked with people who have changed to fist dinning when they get on the ship and don't seem to have issues.
just my thought.

I've never heard of anyone in concierge not getting the dining time that they want. That doesn't mean you'll get it at the time of booking; it means it will be fixed before sailing.
As above, what a booking agent won't/can't do for you, the shoreside concierge will and can. You don't really care what the computer says 6 months before you cruise; you care what it says a month before and when you cruise. it WILL be changed. And it won't take more than one well timed phone call. |

you WILL get that wish granted
Don't sweat it, you WILL be moved to first seating if you wish. As stated, email or call the shoreside concierge team. The CM's making your bookings can't really do much for requests but your concierge team will. I think 4 of our 6 sailings we were booked into late seating and the request to early seating seemed like it was perhaps the easiest request for the concierge team

Depending on the cruise, this request is not always filled, even after you board. If first dining is full, it is full. At this point for an October cruise, there is still plenty of room to move people around so concierge would be able to do that.

Thanks for all the responses. It is reassuring to know we will likely be moved.
