Swan & D planning - historical cheap months?
We are beginning to plan a trip and want to stay at S&D but not at expensive rates. Anyone aware of when (which months) one could reasonably expect to locate good rates for this hotel?
Thanks |

No, but are either of you by any chance a teacher, nurse, or government worker? The Swan and Dolphin offer great discounts to members of those professions.

Echoing what the above posters said, during any given month the special rates and promotions at the S/D can be awesome. Also, in the six weeks leading up to your trip, be sure to check the Starpicks rates, which are some of the lowest rates around.
That said, it's been my experience that August and September usually have amazing rates. I've stayed at the Dolphin for $99/night and at the Swan for $113/night during past September trips. It definitely pays to keep checking.

We just booked our stay for this spring break at the dolphin! We have stayed on disney property tons of times and were pretty sure we were going to book with an all stars....until my husband found a great deal!!! We used our visa scorecard points from using our debit card and are staying one night for free at the dolphin! Then we inquired about the teacher discount and we are spending 170 per night during spring break which includes that resort fee that they charge! Bottom line is we are staying there for cheaper than all stars and from the looks of it....the resort looks pretty sweet! I'm so happy we found a place that has deals for teachers
the location alone sounds fantastic
