A couple of questions about pools and toddlers

DD will be 2.5 at the time of sailing. She is fully potty trained and has been since her 2nd birthday. How will the CMs know for sure she's trained? I don't want them to think I'm lying.

Do I need to bring her puddle jumper/ floaties? Are these even allowed on board?
Thanks for always helping me!

They won't question you as to age. The rule for the pool is not age based, it is developmentally based. There are no swim diapers allowed in the pool. If your child is fully trained and not in need of diapers, she is welcome in the pool. She is also at an appropriate age to enjoy the splash area--again, no problems.

Just be aware that not all parents are respectful of the rules, and this causes the pool to be closed for a "biological" event on a fairly regular basis.

Water wings are fine. Swim vests ....were not permitted in the past, but rules do change. The official rules state no inflatable devices, but lots of kids are wearing devices on their arms.

The Mickey pool is only 18 inches deep. When it is crowded with kids there really isn't room for any pool toys/floats. You probably won't be questioned, but CMs have questioned younger kids who obviously can't be PT'd in the pool without a diaper just because the parents think that complies with the no diaper rule. I am very glad that my kids have outgrown the Mickey pool due to the frequent closures for sanitizing.

Yeah, another reason to be thankful the kids are tall enough for the other pool.

To my knowledge there is no height requirement for the Donald family pool.

No height requirement that I know of, but it is a deeper pool so they need to be comfortable not touching the bottom. There is a "rim" seating area around the edge, but that tends to be very congested along the edge and the seating rim is not big enough for a smaller child to play.

There isn't a height requirement, but we never let the kids go in there on the classics on their own until they could touch the bottom. The sides rise up and you can't see who is in the pool unless you are sitting up on the edge. Also, many kids jump into it on top of others, even though it says not to.
