Dinner Time - American Food?
We LOVE the north-american cuisine and would like to taste MORE!!!
During the last vacations we have been to TGI Fridays, Outback Steakhouse and Carraba's Italian Grill. For us >Krauts< these locations were a totally new experience. Cheap prices and great food options. You won't find a value like this anywhere over here. Please recommend some restaurants in or around the Disney and the Universal Area. There is nothing like our Schnitzel, but I can survive 16 days on vacation without Schnitzel. |

Guten Tag!
My boys love Golden Corral (8707 Vineland Ave, Orlando, FL) the food is adequate, but all you can eat! It does hold a very good sampling of North American cuisine along with some "southern USA" favorites. Buffalo Wild Wings is another one of our favorites. my sons really enjoy the variety of spices. There is something for everyone. VERY noisy but has tons of tv's with sports playing on every one. Elephant Bar. (4054 Conroy Rd, Orlando, FL) bit of a drive but honestly some very good food. my picky boys enjoy the menu. Guten Appetit! That was the last of my high school Deutsch Sprache!

Some of our favourites that haven't been mentioned yet.......
Olive Garden Chili's Steak & Shake Cici's Pizza We will also give a nod to those already mentioned that we also enjoy very much on our Orlando vacations: TGI Fridays, Golden Corral, Buffalo Wild Wing, & Cracker Barrel (for dinner tho, never been to breakfast there!).

We were in Germany about four years ago. Enjoyed your food, and I would love a schnizel right about now. I did notice that you're getting a few American fast food restaurants over there. However, I didn't fly four or five thousand miles, all the way from Kentucky, to eat at Kentucky Fried Chicken. I don't even eat at KFC much over here.
Getting back on topic; one of our favorites is Bob Evans's Restaurant. They've just expanded to Orlando a few years ago. Great for breakfasts, and not bad for supper. You've got to try Cracker Barrel for breakfast. They have delicious breakfasts. That and Bob Evans's are our go-to places for breakfasts when travelling.

We like Cracker Barrel for breakfast and lunch.
Joe's Crabshack is on the 192. We love crab and they have a great variety but service can be hit or miss. If you are staying near the 192 and 27 area, La Cremé in Cagan Crossings has a great breakfast and lunch. Cagan Crossings is across the street (27) from the WalMart.

As others have said, there is no more American dining experience than the Cracker Barrell for breakfast! Order the country fried steak or country fried anything and don't look back! However, rest easy knowing that they serve Swein haxn (love those things) in the new Fantasyland if you get tired of our potato skins and chicken wings. Have a great trip! |

Hooters already found its way to Germany
![]() But most of the restaurants are not existing anymore. I don't understand why well-known american restaurants and fast-food-restaurants can't exist in Germany. There were Wendys, TacoBell, TGI Fridays, etc. All closed! Never heard of Cracker Barrel, but I will put it on my list. Together with some of the other restaurants you all mentioned. They serve Schweinshaxen in Fantasyland? That's something you can order in very very traditional restaurants in Germany. With Sauerkraut! Hello Sterotype
