How was your experience at The Wave?

We went to The Wave when it first opened a couple years ago and found it to be disappointing. We figured that it could have been that it was so new that the kinks weren't worked out yet. Haven't gone back on our last few trips but are considering it for March. I notice that it shows up in threads about healthy eating and that they have organic and natural foods. A big plus! Any info on your experience will be much appreciated!

We went last year and loved it. Went with a group of 8 including 4 kids ages 12,11,10 and 9 and every really enjoyed their meals. Service was good, great beverage selection for the adults. Would highly recommend it.

My fiance and I ate dinner at The Wave in October and it was AMAZING! Everything from the bread to the service was fantastic. Here are some photos for reference.

Grilled Beef Tenderloin - with Goji berry-red wine reduction, three potato hash, locally-sourced butternut squash risotto.

...My Fiance said this was the best meal he has ever eaten in his whole life. He is a chef and is very picky, but he continued to bug me for the entire vacation "can we have dinner at the wave? can we have dinner at the wave?!"

And I had the Whole Grain Penne Pasta - with Florida White Shrimp, Cedar Key Clams, Calico Scallops, and Roasted garlic-Tomato Broth. This was delicious as well...kinda spicy and very flavorful, and the seafood was very fresh.

For dessert we had:

Fall Ice Cream Trio - Pumpkin pie with maple glazed pecans, double chocolate chip, salted caramel swirl

and the American Flavors - Chocolate ganache-dipped banana mousse cake, apple-almond crumb cake with spiced cream, and Mississippi mud pie

The meal was delicious, the service superb...I can't wait to go back! I hope you enjoy your meal.

I've only been to the bar there, but the organic beer flight was very tasty, and the bartender was awesome.

Been a couple of tines and can't fault it. Had great food and service. The wine flights are great. We love the desert trios as well we get one of each and swap around.
Dave and Jeremy the severs were great really sweet and knowledgeable about both the good a wine list.

We 'discovered' the Wave while looking for a resort breakfast that was table service, but not too crowded or a character breakfast. We *loved* it! The sweet potato pancakes were to die for! That was back in Jan. 2011. The hubby still talks about it, and we've planned several meals there for our trip coming next month. It was not crowded, the staff was very pleasant, and we enjoyed taking the boat from the WL (our hotel) first thing in the morning and then getting the monorail into MK.

We went for breakfast last summer and were unimpressed. The food was bland and not very good. We don't plan to go back.

We have eaten dinner once and lunch once and both were great. Fresh organic foods, great beer and wine menu.

Big WAVE fans here, we've eaten breakfast and dinner there a few times and keep going back...I think they have one of the best breakfast buffets and it's also a great value for those of you paying OOP. DD asks to go there every trip.

Please feel free to take a look at my reviews from both breakfast and dinner on my review website (with photos). At the bottom of the breakfast review there is a link to the dinner review. And later this week, we're hoping to try lunch there and will report back on that.

They have a great bar. Bison burger is good for lunch.

It is really one of the best TS on property, but it is a certain type of "farm to table" food. You have to be a little open to that, but there is something for everyone imo.

Ate there a couple years ago for Breakfast. Unimpressed, and for the money would choose Whispering Canyon for breakfast every time!

We went 12/26/12. We had the BEST experience.

So we had a very long day at MK, where we hit the wall about 2pm. We had a ressie at the Plaza at 5, but since it didnt require a credit card we decided to try to change it, take a nap, and eat later. Concierge at our resort recommended The Wave, and we took an 830 dinner ressie.

Best service of our trip, AND best food (in my opinion). I had the Ahi tuna, and it awesome. DH liked his too, but liked Le Cellier better overall. DD11 even liked hers. Our server was so amazing I took the time to let Disney know how great he was. Very relaxing, delicious meal. And I loved my desserts.

the pictures I took and my write up are in this post
