I'm not an active CPA, but maybe I could help answer your question.

Not a CPA, but would recommend checking the irs.gov website. It is pretty helpful.

I can tell you when my children cashed theirs in, if my social was on it at all I received a form to put on my income tax, and they did if it was just under theirs.

I have no clue the question but I remember being surprised that it was included in my income. So maybe you are too.

For all my luck, the Google car would drive by right then, and when I want to sell my house next year, all people would see is a yard full of flamingos when they Google the address.

I'm a CPA but I'm assuming your question is probably about taxes (which isn't my field of expertise).

If that's the case, you'd be far better off going directly to IRS.gov or the site below.

I am not a CPA but have read up on the US Savings Bonds because my children have them.

If it was in your name (Your child can not even be a secondary owner listed on the bond) and it was cashed in for qualified educational expenses, then it is tax free.

If it was in your child's name and they cashed it in, it is fully taxable, regardless of whether it was used for education.
