Fantasy deck 2 vs deck 5 - motion sickness

We currently have midship deck 2 (2038) booked on Fantasy - Cat. 9B (summer months)

Thinking of switching to front of ship deck 5 (5016)- Cat. 8D (summer months).

I am concerned about motion sickness as DD and I both struggle with this. We can't use meds, but we use bands. We didn't feel much movement in August on deck 2, so not sure?

Anyone with similar issues can speak to the location of the deck 5 cabin in comparison to the deck 2 cabin?

Thanks so much, Tiger

i’m susceptible to the motion but (knock wood) haven’t been on a cruise that was soooo bumpy i’ve gotten sick sick. i personally don’t think there would be a great difference between these two decks, assuming midship. i think the highest deck we’ve stayed on was 7? usually 5,6 or 7. just off the magic, deck 2. i would be cautious of going higher then 7 myself, and if i were concerned (as you are), i would endeavor to stay midship. 2 out of 3 cruises I was on deck 2 midship and had minimal problems with motion and sound. The closer to sea level and centralized location on the ship, the less rocking you will feel.
2 weeks ago, I just got off the Fantasy with on OGT on deck 5 aft. It was very windy throughout the cruise and the rocking was intense. We could feel every minor movement the ship made and the engines were very loud and could definitely feel their vibrations.
I'm not susceptible to sea sickness (very prone to motion sickness otherwise, which is weird), but I definitely prefer midship deck 2

Sorry about not returning back, as not feeling well.

Thanks both for your opinions.

Not sure what to do at this point? Tiger
