Recommendations for Special Birthday
It is my 40th birthday next November....I am thinking I'd love to go to Disneyworld to celebrate.
It will probably be only my DH and I, maybe my teenage son if he decides to miss a couple days of school. I'd like to stay somewhere out of the ordinary if possible. We have stayed in a variety of resorts and off site over the years. Someone suggested their favorite place as The Treehouse Villas. I'd never even heard of them so I'm wondering what else I don't know about? They look very cool.... My favorite resort is AKL....have also stayed at the Poly in the concierge building with the Castle views which was nice. Any suggestions for me? Thank you!

Happy pre-birthday! I celebrated my birthday at WDW last November during the Food & Wine Festival. I stayed at AKL(Kidani) and loved it! Of course I visited F&W, but I also did the following to celebrate: Victoria & Albert's for dinner, Cinderella's Royal Table for breakfast and Mickey's Very Merry Xmas party. I had a ball!!! I even wore my b-day button the whole time. It's fun to have total strangers wish you a happy birthday.
Victoria & Albert's is pricey, but it was worth every penny. I ate in the dining room and had the 7 course meal. Everything I did, I had never done before--including staying at AKL. I also ate at Yachtsman Steakhouse(a first) and California Grill. The WDW website has lots of information on tours you can do if you're looking for something different. Good luck planning your b-day celebration! |
