Exclamation Help! DS deleted iphone info!

DS plugged in his iphone 4 to do an update and the computer completely erased his iphone!

His music is in iTunes but won't sync to his phone. All his apps have been deleted off both his phone and iTunes.

We were sold a demo phone that was supposed to have the standard OS installed when we bought it a few months ago (which I was very wary about).

Is there anyway to save any of the info or does he have to start all over with apps/music?

He can re-download all the apps. I'm not sure how that would be a problem? Has he ever synched it to the cloud? Music should be saved there, and it sounds like it's already on the computer. Not sure why it's not synching from the computer.. is it showing an error message? If you're near an Apple store, they can run a diagnosis report.

I wipe my phone clean every other month and start from scratch and it's pretty easy to get what I want back. Don't stress

DH isn't here to back me up on this. But shouldn't you be able to do a restore from the last sync? Try googling that. Good luck!

Nope, no cloud and no error message. The nearest Apple store is 2 hours away.

And the apps are no longer on his itunes, so no way to re download them.

I realize it is a gross over-reaction, but this is seriously making me cry.

I am stressed to the max and after the last few weeks we've had, this is just one more thing I have to deal with.

I calmed down enough to google some Apple support stuff and DS is trying that now.

Did you do a backup of your phone? If so, you can plug in your phone to your computer, open iTunes and restore from the backup.
