Dolphin Encounter at Blue Lagoon or Atlantis??

Which Dolphin Encounter (not swim) is better the one at Atlantis or Blue Lagoon?? How much interaction at each? How deep in water at each?? Also, if we did Atlantis, can we stay and hang out and swim at Cove or a beach (if not paying for the waterpark thing)? Sorry for all the questions....had considered the swim, but if the "dolphin push" is the only additional feature - not sure we want the additional cost. Thanks!!!

Hi, we chose Blue Lagoon. The reasons are: boat instead of bus; not having to tour the Atlantis property to get to the dolphins; Trip Advisor and DISboard reviews; not having to walk by waterpark and say no. We're going in March, so I'll let you know, but I'm happy with my choice. Good luck and have fun.

We did Blue Lagoon also 2 years ago for the same reasons mentioned in a previous post. By the way, we had an awesome experience. My wife, daughter and myself were able to spend a lot of time in the water interacting with the dolphins and the dolphin "foot push" experience is something we will never forget. My daughter was 7 at the time and this was something I am sure she will remember her entire life. Also, we purchased the DVD through Blue Lagoon of our Dolphin encounter and it was well worth the money to capture the memories.

I realize this is not your question, but given the above part of your post I just had to chime in. I did the dolphin swim at Blue Lagoon. The foot push was absolutely incredible. Truly amazing. It was worth every penny and it is something I will NEVER forget. It was just fantastic.

I would not rule it out if you can afford it.

We did Blue Lagoon Encounter and it was excellent. You stand on platforms so it is only about 2-3 feet deep. The encounters were great and afterwards there is a beach there that you can use . There are boats that run all day back to the ship, and you can take one whenever you want.
