Any good spots to watch parade AND fireworks?

We're heading off to Disneyworld in a couple of weeks and I'm trying to plan one day in Magic Kingdom with my kids, aged 2 and 4, and my parents, both in their 70's. I'm trying to keep it really laid back and fun for everyone without too much walking since my mom has a bit of a hard time being on her feet for more than 30 minutes without a chance to sit down. I noticed that the day we're there, they have 2 Main Street Electrical Parades at 7 and 9 pm as well as fireworks at 8pm. Is there anywhere we could stake out a spot early and catch both fireworks and a parade? It would have to be somewhere with a real bench or other seating since the sitting on the curb thing wouldn't work for my parents. Any ideas for making this work? Are there any restaurants with seating where we could make this work?

I might suggest right at the top of Main Street diagonally across from Casey's Corner. The parade will go right by and you will have a great view of the fireworks just to your right. For your Mom you might want to consider a wheelchair. That way she can sit while waiting and most folks won't being in front of her.

Thanks for the maps. That really helps me with figuring things out since I'm a really visual thinker. I'll have two days with the kids in the parks before my parents arrive, so I'll scope out the benches and available spots with those maps in mind!

You might try sitting at the train station balcony. It gives you a straight look down main street. A little farther out from the action, but in my honest opinion the view was great. And as for the parade, it passes right in front of the train station. This is what my husband & I did, & we really enjoyed this spot, you might want to get there early to get a seat.

There's a new wrinkle in this.
From the train station you won't be able to see much of the very popular new "show"
that is actually projected on the front of the Castle.
It's called "Celebrate the Magic."
It begins about 15 minutes before the fireworks, and should not be missed.
That show is best seen from the Castle Hub or a spot near the Hub on Main Street.

Thanks Robo, I didn't think about that. We went in October, before the new part of the show. Thanks for the tip!

The only "tip" is to get there before it fills.

On some days, that can literally be upwards of two-three hours before the parade starts.

While the RR station platform is a spectacular place to watch the lighted parade, it is not a great spot to watch the fireworks, and a really bad spot to (try to) see the new castle projection show.
