Cape May Buffet

I see online that they have 2 different buffets, one for adults and one for children. Are these buffets just suggestions for who would enjoy each one more, or are they strict about children sticking to the kids buffet and adults sticking to the grown up? For example, if my daughter wanted a crab leg, would she be allowed to get one and if I wanted a slice of pizza, would that be okay, or do we have to stick to our own buffets?

Everyone can eat anything they want to. The children's buffet is usually on the end of the regular buffet. Since it's a buffet, children can eat as many crab legs that they want to. My DGD (10) loves the crab legs there. I think they have the childrens buffet, mainly because it's a little more kid friendly foods, like chicken nuggets and mac and cheese. Have a great time!!

Sharing is caring!! You can take from the kids food, and vice versa. I LOVE the cape may mac and cheese, which is in the 'kids' food section. It's just a section of the buffet area, but you can take whatever your heart desires, for any family member

When we ate at Cape May I ate almost solely off the kids area of the buffet. I had some Fish nuggets and mac n cheese and then had some boiled new red potatoes off the adult side. But anybody can have anything they want off the whole buffet. Crab legs included.

I really liked the buffet. My kids really liked it because they eat Crab legs but DH wasn't too thrilled with it.

I'm excited about the buffet. I've never really liked fish, so I don't go to many seafood restaurants. With a buffet, I will have the opportunity to try out many different options that I have yet to try such as crab legs, mussles, clams, and clam chowder. I also (don't judge me) love the resort pizza that they serve at Disney resorts so like the idea of being able to get a slice while I am there.

At Cape May in December I ate mainly off of the childrens buffet as I don't do rare meat or much fish! We were there for DH, and I'm sure he had my share of crab legs, clams and mussles!

As the PPs have noted, there are not two separate buffets (an adult one and a children's one). Rather there is one section with options that some children prefer (mac n cheese, pizza, etc). Any guest is free to take any food from any section of the buffet. Thank heavens. When my kids were young they would have staged a revolt if they'd had to eat anything from the "kids" section.
