Having trouble getting our disney ref for adrs.

We are at the 180 day mark and have phoned travel city up to get our disney ref number to book our adrs and they have told us we will have to wait another 2days??? We really want to get our first 10 days of adrs reserved so no chance of missing out. Can anyone advise us on when they got there disney ref number and if there is any other way of obtaining them other than phoning??? Thankyou.

Is this because you're on a DDP?
Sorry if that's a bit of a silly question but I have always booked my ADRs 180 days out and never needed a ref number. Just booked all of mine without a ref and without any problems - got all the reservations at around the time we wanted (we aren't on the DDP)

Why do you need your ref number. You can just go online and make a reservation.

I have made several ADR during a trip that I never stayed on property and during trips where I have stayed on propert. There is no need for a ref number.

Ooops I've just phoned and booked all my adrs. Thankyou both for letting me know I didn't need the disney ref number. Thanks again! Very exited now and I can chill out for another 10 days.

you need this number if you wish to use the 180+10 days perk (online booking)

at the 180 days mark you can book ADRs for the first 10 days of your stay (if you're onsite)
The dining website will require you to enter your Resort Confirmation Number before it will let you book any day farther away than 180 days out. (up to 180+10 days)
at least that's the way it used to work when I last made my ADRs for october/november 2012

If you've done your first 10 days of ADRs you don't need to wait another 10 days before you can do day 11, you can do that tomorrow!

Just phoned disney ( they are brilliant at their jobs) and they gave me my ref number and was able to book adrs for 10 days as staying on site. Is this the same ref number then for DME? Sorry I'm new to all of this we've been before but never pre planed before. Just want to get the most out of this holiday for our 7yr old. Thankyou.

Yes you still need the conf. no. to do 180+10 on-line.

Were Disney able to give you the reference despite booking with Travel City Direct?

We've booked with TCD too, our ADR day is Sunday, and we were told to call them the day before and they'll hopefully have it. I didn't think I could get it directly from Disney?

Yes we phoned travel city but said we needed to wait 2 days but phoned disney instead on 001 407 939 0754 and they gave us our res number and booked all our first 10 days. The only info we gave was our names, address, phone number, where we were staying and date of arrival, no travel city info. We were on hold for about 5 mins then she booked all our adrs for the first 10 days ( staying at disney) she was very helpful and gave loads of advice. In future I will just phone disney directly because it was done all within 10 mins.
