Drink on Castaway????

Does anyone know about being able to take (your own from home) alcoholic beverages off the ship to the island in a small cooler???

If not then do they serve them at the adult beach and the family beach?

DCL doesn't allow personal coolers onboard. I understand they sell a cooler with adult beverages in them. It's DCL policy for any alcoholic beverages personally brought onboard to NOT be allowed in the public spaces, except for wine in the MDRs (with a corkage fee).

While adult Guests ages 21 and older may bring alcohol onboard, the following guidelines apply:
•Outside alcohol cannot be consumed in any lounge or public area

They do have alcoholic drinks available for puchase on the island.

And while we were there last week, starting at around 2:00 all drinks were buy one get one free!! We got the drink of the day and it was $4.25 for 2 drinks! (Stingrays) The deal applied to all drinks, though - with or without alcohol!

ah, I loved sitting on the beach on CC and having a waiter actually bring me a drink. Feels so decadent and totally like I'm on vacay!

I took my bottle or rum and made my own drinks with it, but I just put it in our beach bag. Our cruise last year made 2 stops to CC. One day I drank rum and cokes, the next time I mixed rum with the Hi-C type fruit drink they have. On our cruise in March, I think I will make rum floats with the soft serve ice cream they have on the ship and at CC.

So they did not check your bag? I have a bag that has a cooler ont he bottom of it. Were you able to get ice while on the island? I am planning on making special cups for everyone- do you think that would work?

I just put my bottle of rum in my beach bag when I went to CC. No one was checking anything. I got ice from the drink machines that had the sodas.

I think your bag with the cooler on the bottom would work out fine on C'; the special cups would be nice a nice touch!

Sailed last October on the Dream.

My husband and I ran the Castaway Cay 5K, and carried off the ship a large bag containing our swimsuits, several water bottles, and a bottle of wine.

No one ever looked in my bag or checked it, and I left it in the crate at the starting line of the 5K.

It was great relaxing at the adult beach after my 5K. I had a Konk cooler, and then put my wine in that cup. Later I had a Shin split--or two--I think that's when it was buy 1 get 1. Wonderful day.
