Anyone ever do the late dining at O'Hana, after 8:30?

Going to WDW May 8-14th. Would really love to eat at O'Hana's. Only times available around 9:30pm. I've never had dinner that late before. For those of you who have eaten that late, do you find it enjoyable, hard to digest and sleep afterwards, were you falling asleep at the table, LOL?

BTW it's not O'Hana's. It's not an Irish pub. It's called 'Ohana (which means family).

I thought it was great, because the children's activities ended at 9:30. I would pick that time in a second if it means avoiding the maraca parade. Others' mileage may vary, if they are dining with children. But I'm not one who is all that used to eating early, either.

2 yrs ago on arrival day, we had car troubles, didn't even get to the resort until after our ADR time. When I called and explained the situation, the CM told us to still go and explain, and they would fit us in, btw, and they did! So, finally, we got there at 9:30, DS fell asleep at the table, but the adults still had a nice dinner! Food was delicious and Wishes was at 10, so we were able to watch from our table. If I was traveling without a LO, I would definitely go back for a later dinner!

What is a LO, bennifer? I'll be traveling alone, so no kids involved. I checked, and Wishes is at 10 that night, so added bonus!

LO= Loved One

We usually eat later in the evening and have done this a couple of times at 'Ohana. The food is good, the place is a little quieter (fewer kids and kids activities) and the service wasn't rushed. Just the way we like it.

We tend to eat later because of the time zone difference so like 'Ohana's later seatings. As someone else mentioned, the kids activities end at 9:30 so we like an 8:45 ADR. The kids get to run around and do the whole experience and then it is peaceful and less distracting after that.

'Ohana has been our first-night tradition for years, it just puts us in the holiday spirit!! Anyway, we rarely get any reservations before 8:30 because of our arrival times, settling in, etc. I've never had sub-par food or service because of the time, everything has always been freshly served and delicious!! I <3 'Ohanas.

We will be visiting the middle of May. I have been trying for weeks to get a dinner reservation at Ohana and all that was available was the 9:30 time. I know that is too late for us. Anyway, I tried again several nights ago and finally got a 6:30 reservation. My schedule is somewhat flexible so I had 4 different nights I was trying, so that helped. Anyway, don't give up, you still might find an earlier time the closer it gets to your vacation.
