Thanks for the Facebook link.
We're also the only ones to wear shorts and t-shirts while others are walking around with hoodies and gloves. In December 2010 a cold snap hit Orlando. We made our way to Universal and this was the first time ever that we had to buy hats, scarves and gloves. At least they were from the WWoHP. I've got my fingers crossed because that sail away party was mighty brisk.

Both times in Dec of 2008 and 2009, we had pretty good weather. The captain did have to do a sea day and then a Castaway day in 2009 cause the water was just a little tricky but it ended all good and that was on the Wonder both times. We just had those two days turned around.
Hubby grew up in Pa and I was born in St Pete, Fla but moved all over so I never really got used to weather until we started living where we are now for the past 34 years. But I still get cold when the temp turns to about 70!!
That happened even when we lived in Hawaii for three years

One thing to remember is that sometimes it gets a little chilly in the dining rooms so I bring a shawl just in case!!

110 days till we get to WDW and then 8 more days till our cruise after that. I cannot wait. I want this time to go by fast, fast.

Where from: O'Fallon, IL

to the DIS and welcome to December Dreeamin'. I've added your information to the first post of this thread and will update FB soon. BTW, welcome to our FB group also. There's a great bunch of people on this cruise and our FB page is getting busier. Just have fun with the DIS as there is a wealth of information on these threads. I've also posted some info about the Fish Extenders on the first page. If you need any help just ask.

Pins and Lanyards

Hey everyone, Just curious since we've never been on a DC... Is there a pin trading event or can you trade with CM's? We just started getting into this at DW and aren't sure if we should bring them along on the cruise. Thanks!

Novice Cruiser questions

So, I have a few questions for those of you that may have done a cruise once or twice *wink wink*.

Are there excursions that anyone has done in the past that they would recommend?

Does anyone have a source they would recommend for their FE?

I had heard that it is possible to ship our FE gifts ahead of time so that there's more room in our luggage. Any truth to that?

As far as tours go we have only done one; the Atlantis Aquarium tour. It was fun and informative. You also get a tour of the Casino and go shopping in a beautiful yet expensive mall. I know boring huh?

I got my FE from gradysmommy on ebay. She has since moved to Etsy where there are a couple of more sellers. (my FE is posted on the first page of this thread) You get to choose your colors, borders, characters and heading. They are personalized to the max. Whatever you want really.

Yes you can ship your FE and other things to the port ahead of time. I will look up the info and add this to the first page. I know there is a sticky somewhere. So I'll see what I can do to make it easier. Hope this helped a little.

I did the Dolphin Encounter and really had such a good time. It was worth the money

On Castaway Cay, I did the Parasailing and it was awesome!!
