A few years ago, I bought an iPhone off eBay... to be delivered FedEx. I was anxiously awaiting it the scheduled day. I was waiting and waiting, kept checking the webpage info. Eventually it showed up as "delivered". Of course the package was not here. I called FedEx immediately and they were like "yes your package was delivered", it was like NO...I have been sitting here at home waiting all day and they never came. They suggested I canvas the neighborhood looking for it. I found it on a neighbor's doorstep.

We live in the back of 2 1/2 acres, when I have a package coming I watch the tracking site like a hawk. I open the gate at noon so that they will come in. I have it listed in the directions to deliver to the door not the gate... every time fed ex will deliver to door, ups will leave at the gate... $800 in college text books left at the gate. In the rain... RUINED... they were replaced.

Yet another time back in 2000 I was a consultant for Creative Memories... I had 4 boxes of scrapbooks and materials that were ordered from a party, over $2k in merchandise, UPS stated they delivered it... it never showed up at my house. This is when we lived in Ft Lauderdale... Creative Memories had the items shipped back out that day and I from then on picked my packages up at UPS... what a mess.

I'm lucky, we have good FedEx and UPS service both at work and at home.

US Post office, our regular guy the past 20 years is great. First 10 years sucked because our "new" subdivision was an auxillary route with a different carrier every day as a new neighborhood. It took the Post Office 10 years to make us an official route. And when our regular guy is off.....and he was gone on medical leave for 5 years......not so good. One day the mail lady actually delivered the mail to the next house from where it was supposed to be, everyone is out in the street exchange mail when another mailman came by because she had left half the mail she was supposed to deliver at the post office!
