Sci fi cars

How many people fit across a bench in one of the cars? And how many benches are in each car? 2 or 3?

2 adults fit side by side and have enough room to eat. A small child can be a third in the bench.

I believe they have cars of 2 and 3 rows.

Definitely just 2 adults or 1 adult and a child. If 2 adults sit with a child it will be a very tight squeeze (maybe 3 small kids across will work), but we couldn't have fit with our dd even when she was little and we're "average" sized people.

The back seat of this car has 2 kids, maybe an additional 3rd child who is very small could fit semi-comfortably?

My dd sat in the front seat here with me and dh is sitting in the 2nd row by himself. It would not have been comfortable for dh and I in one row with dd even when she was little. As you can see in the photos there are 3 rows in each car.

I agree the rows are small. DH is 6ft and around 200 lbs. I am 5ft and around....ok for the sake of this post I will tell you!!! 130. We fit but the table area is very small even with just 2 of us.2 drinks 2 plates, salt and pepper and ketchup barely fit! When I go with DS and DDIL. The 3 of us request a car that has 2 tables of 4 sideways. Still a good view but more comfortable for us! I have only been in cars with 3 rows or the side by side tables that seat 8. Never seen a car with 2 rows.

The last time I ate at Sci-Fi we did one row with me, my wife and son. My wife is tiny (4"10 - 100lbs), and my son was 4 at the time and took up little room). I'm not huge either (5'8" 180).

We fit, but barely. And, the problem is the counter space for 3. Try putting 3 plates of food and 3 drinks in front of you with all the condiments. A super tight squeeze. I wouldn't do that configuration again, but if you're a party of 3, putting someone in the back seat by themselves wouldn't be great either.

Yes, you would.

The problem with Sci Fi and why it seems so cramped is because of the "table" right in front of you.

But I really would not try and fit two adults and one child into a row in the car. I don't care how tiny the people are. I'd be more concerned with the arms going around trying to eat the food. Elbow pokes would be common.

Yes you do as PPs said. The table will be right in your belly, but the side to side will be good enough for 2. I'm very pooh sized and while DH and I have fit together, but we almost always have the kids with so one goes w/ one parent and one with the other.

Thanks. That's good to know. I would be so embarrassed if we got there and I didn't fit

They have tables in the back too for an option. I'm on the upper 200s ( ) and I still shimmied into the cars.

Sorry to hijack your thread but I'm wondering if we will be ok. Last time we ate here we were a party of 6. So seating was perfect. This time we are a party of 7. I don't want to be separated at different tables. So if we aren't in the car with table and chairs would we fit with 2 adults each in 2 of the seats and 1 adult with 2 kids aged 6 and 8 in the other seat. Also thinking about eating at Mama Melrose again so this seating issue might make up my mind. Thanks

We're bigger people and we found the tables snug, but doable. However, I wouldn't put three people in a row. We barely had enough room for our plates and drinks.
