Be Our Guest for lunch?

What's the best strategy to get lunch at BOG? I'm thinking we'll be in MK on 2/24 (Sun) and 2/26 (Tues) on our upcoming trip, but on Tues we're doing the KKTK tour till probably 1ish. Is there any hope of just walking in and getting to eat? It doesn't look like they do ADRs for lunch, so I assume it's first come first served? What kind of timing are we looking at? Is lunch worth bothering? Thanks!

you may have a line on the bridge leading to the doors but it is well worth the wait. we waited about 30 minutes but once in we ordered and got our food very quickly..

What time do they open? Sorry, I'm sure this info is readily available somewhere... Is it worth trying to line up ahead of time?

I found some info on wdwmagic that says they start the lunch queue at 10:30, but that's from Nov and they were speculating about hours. Anyone know for sure? I'd rather eat a bit later but I'd rather not stand in line for ages either.

We ate there on Wed. 1/24. It opened at 10:30am, we ate at 11:30 and the line was over the bridge with a quoted wait of 45min. We used a FP option which they were testing, we took our FP to the outside kiosk, placed our order there and were given a gold colored rose as opposed to the red quick service rose. We went in and found a table and by the time we began getting our drinks our food was there. Less than 5min from placing our order.

We have eaten there quite a few times and really like it but honestly I would either line up really early or maybe late. They do cut the line when they believe it will take until closing for people to order. Reports have the line cut this week between 2pm and 2:15pm.

Does just the line open at 10:30 or the actual restaurant? How early is early? Is 30 min enough? How do you get a FP?

You can line up as early as you want, they usually begin taking orders at 10:30am. Over Christmas when we were there we lined up at 9:50 and they did open early but it is not the holiday season so I doubt they will do that anymore. As for the FP you have to be selected for the test so it is just random.

Edited to add: I believe "technically" they open at 11am but have been opening at 10:30, YMMV

Cool, thanks. I'm at a conference till 10am on Sunday at GFL, so I think we'll just head over after that and see what we can do.

BTW, what does YMMV mean??

I ate at BOG on the Saturday of marathon weekend--so, a pretty busy day at MK for this time of year. I wouldn't worry about lining up before opening, but I would try to jump in line around 11 or so, just to miss the massive lunch rush around noon. We got in line a few minutes after 11. The line was across the bridge. But we were were completely done with our meal--including time to sit at the table to chat and look around the restaurant--by noon.

Is it less crowded for a late lunch (say about 2:00 pm)? What time do they close for lunch?

Can one person stand in the line while the others go on rides? Will they be able to join you in line when you get close to the front without it being a problem? We will be with a 5 year old and a 3 year old. It would be nice if they didn't have to stand in line.

Even if the line is over the bridge it only takes about a half an hour to get through it so you really wouldn't have time to do much.

That said, one person can wait in line but they cannot enter and place their order until the entire party is present. They will hold that person at the front of the line (off to the side) until the rest of the party arrives.
