Cape May or Coral Reef?

Trying to decide which seafood restaurant to do...we need a restaurant to eat at when we're at Epcot, but I'd also love to check out another resort that we haven't seen yet. Thoughts? TIA!

Both our great. My kids like Coral Reef because of being able to watch all of the fish while you eat. Hubby likes Cape May for all the seafood, especially the crab legs. Both are great but if I had to choose I would go with Cape May.

Cape May..hands down!! Coral Reef has a great atmosphere but we didn't care for the food. Cape May has a great selection and the crab legs are really good for the price of the buffet!! Good luck deciding and have a great vacay!!

I really like both but prefer Cape May. Coral Reef has a limited selection whereas Cape May has a huge selection of clams, mussels, baked fish, chowder, crab legs, etc etc.

And the Yacht and Beach Club resorts are great to check out if you have never seen them. I think you'll get more bang for your buck out of Cape May!

Enjoy!!

We are Cape May fans. I agree it is very good.

We have never been to Coral Reef. So no comment!

I'm going to go against the early trend here and say Coral Reef. I am not a big fan of buffet food and having tried Cape May I found it to be like typical buffet food... Average. Nor was I impressed with the crab legs. They were also average just like some of the Chinese buffets in my area that offer them on their buffet table. I have been to Coral Reef three times and have enjoyed it all three times. The only draw back I have had at Coral Reef is the last time we were there it took about 20 minutes before we were seated for our ADR... But the food was very good.

we really like both places, but for completely different reasons. Though Coral Reef seems like it should be a "sea food" restaurant, it really isn't. It's more like the standard Disney restaurant menu with an assortment of entrees and a couple of extra fish choices. The big appeal for us there is the aquarium window wall...that is awesome, especially if you're lucky enough to get a window table, or in the first tier up from the aquarium window. However, if you're seated in the top tier, you can barely see the aquarium so no point in being there. The food is good, but not outstanding. If you're going at a prime meal time, your chances of getting seated at the aquarium windows is not all that good (and your party must be 4 or less, because there's no larger tables at the window wall.) I wouldn't go there specifically as a sea food restaurant though.

We love Cape May, too...lots of sea food choices and the rest of the items offered are also good, in our experience. It's a lovely area to walk to, also (through the Epcot resort area...especially after dark when you can see all the lights from the Boardwalk entertainment area on the water. Lovely.)

Another vote for Cape May. I really like the crab legs.

We love Coral Reef and would not ever go back for the buffet at Cape May it ad little flavor and not interesting, but I am from New Orleans so that may be part of it. Atmosphere is much better at the reef too!

Never been to cape may, but we had a nice meal at coral reef.

If price matters, go for coral. You can get a nice meal for $22 at coral, but cape may is $40+ no matter how much or little you eat.

If I were choosing for food I would go with Cape May, but if I were going for atmosphere I would choose Coral Reef.
