'Ohana or something at Downtown Disney?
On our day of arrival, we'll be at DD at 4 pm. We have dinner reservations at 'Ohana at 8 pm (4 adults). Do you think we should stick with 'Ohana, or is there something better at DD? We're staying at Art of Animation, and we'll be using Disney transportation.

Personally, I wouldn't travel any more than necessary. I just don't see the need to catch a bus to Poly. Then to get home you would have to go to MK if it was open and take a bus from there. If it wasn't open you would have to get a bus to DTD and then a bus to AoA. Or a taxi. About $15-20. Ohana is usually good, although our last time was horrible. But I wouldn't leave DTD. There are really good places to eat and drink! We love Trex and RFC. Paradiso is really good and I am very picky with spices and sauces. This is usually our last day lunch. Raglan Road is good. Also Planet Hollywood if you have never been. We even like Capt Jacks. Not much variety but DH likes the shrimp cocktail which they don't serve too many places anymore! And it will be much easier getting back to AoA! Hope you have a great time!!

I would stay and eat at DTD. Then you don't have to worry about catching a bus back to Poly and then get to MK to get bus back to AoA. If you are going to be at DTD at 4 you have to plan on being at the bus stop around 6:30 no later than 6:45- allowing one hour to get to Poly and walking up to Ohana for 8:00 ressies. Your other option, as pp, is catch a cab but you still have to allow time. There are some really good restaurants at DTD, especially with 4 adults. Ragalan Road is one of our favorites and we do love Fulton's.
Why be rushed on your first day. I could spend at least 1 hour in the Disney store alone not to mention the Christmas store. Do Ohana on the day you are planning to be at MK. Go the MK, go over to Ohana for dinner around 5 or 6 and then take the monorail back to MK at night to watch the fireworks. |

'OHana is a much sought after ADR.
We ate there in October and I wasn't wowed. I felt we were rushed. The food was just okay. We love Raglan Road in DTD. It is a beautiful restaurant with warm, friednly servers and the food is great. There is a live band and Irish Step Dancers throughout the evening. I highly recommend this. Have fun
