You went HOW many times?!?!

Someone asked the other day how many times my family went to Disney last year. I answered casually 3. You would have thought I had said 333!!! Got me thinking.....what's the most times you have visited Disney in a year. What's the most trips you have had planned out at one time????

The most I've done in a year is two, but that being said I had never been before 2010 and now this trip in February will be trip number five. A friend of mine has gone two or three times a year for the past few years. Is it maybe strange? Sure. Do I care? Not at all!

for a while we were going every 6 months. But as the kids have gotten older we backed it down to every 12 months, now every 24 months.

As a family we are just branching out to do or try more things, but you can only stay away for so long.

Sounds like us we went for a day trip in 2003. Then first real trip in 2009...needless to say we are hooked! Strange, no not at all! We are just perfectly sane people who happen to enjoy the magic of a fabulous place! And I agree don't care what people say.....I'm happy

I wish I could go multiple times in a year. We generally go every 12-18 mos. I would love to be able to buy AP's and go multiple times. Wish we lived closer

I understand totally, we live near Indy and its far enough! Both myself and DH are Disney addicts so anything extra we have goes to book trips. Some people think we are nuts to not drive new cars and live in a bigger house but for us we would rather do Disney.....

The most we have gone is 3 times in 18 months. We had a trip planned, ended up there for a baseball tournament and then decided to return. This type of response is heard a lot and posted on the board. We also hear, "it must be nice to be able to afford to go to Disney". My response is alway "yes, it is" without even batting an eyelash. I also have no issues with the 7 times my children and I have been. It is something we enjoy together and what we choose to allocate our time and resources to. You should never let other peoples views bother you.

Fall, winter and spring I live 8 miles away so my answer would be a lot Yesterday I made a shirt in Downtown Disney with the classic characters on it that says happiness is being close enough to Disney to go whenever I want to!

Thank you!! And I also get that type of response, I'm in retail and someone paid with a Disney visa, of course that sparked conversation.....they asked questions, I answered...then they said oh my how often do you go...well I answered and the response was....oh my I had no idea someone in your position makes that much money, I guess I need a job here. My mouth just dropped, I regained composure and simply said, well I'm hiring would you like an application?

The most I've been is twice. I wanted to do 3 in that year, but we ended up canceling the last trip for reasons that didn't pan out.
I'm trying to convince DH that every 5 years or so we should do an AP year and go to Disney a bunch of times, but I doubt that will be possible unless we move much closer. Airfare from here has gotten slightly ridiculous, and it will seem even more so if we add anymore kids to our family.

You are my idol! I wanna be you! Funny we lived in Orlando back in 2003 for a few months, went one day to MK!! Then moved back to the Midwest, stupid stupid stupid!! Now we try to get there as often as possible. Someday retirement will call and I will at least be a snowbird!

I've only been once a year, but currently have a trip planned with my older kids for October 2013, would like to take them for a Star Wars weekend in May 2014, and we're planning a trip for the whole family in October 2014 or 2015. My DH asked me if he needed to get a job in FL the other day. We moved to be near my parents a couple years ago and love where we live, but it's farther from WDW. So, I told him he could get a second job to fund airfare for my Disney addiction!

Did she apply? I always find it interesting that perfect strangers feel free to just let any random thought make it's way out of their mouths. Especially what someone's pay scale may be. Well at least you were able to handle it well. I may have not handled that situation all that well.

I have the Disney premiere card and actually use it for work expenses as well so we get a lot of points adding up. This next trip is actually being paid for by points off that card and with SW airlines points. If I can get free dining, we'll go and not have to pay for anything other than spending money.
